lol 3D..... really this fad is getting out of hand way to fast. I dont see the point of it in movies, and I dont see the point in it in a video game, especaly an MMORPG.

VR is one thing, but this cheesy 3D gimmick is just silly.

                Now: "MAN 3D IS GIMMICKY".

Three years from now: "LOL MICROSOFT'S 3D SUCKS; WHAT'S UP WITH THOSE PINCE-NEZ GLASSES?"

It's motion control all over again. And wireless controllers. And internet games. And 3D, nearly two decades ago when it meant something entirely different.

Oh well. There are some people who think video games as a whole are just a fad. Time proves them all wrong eventually.

I dunno I thought it was pretty cool having it spread across 3 monitors in 3D...

Though, the reactions of the SE guys (even Wada lol...) were a little over the top.

I hear this stereo thing is going to be huge, too.

In all seriousness, I'll take the 3D craze on with 3DS until 3D comes to television without the need for extra glasses. Otherwise, I can do without it.

Exactly. If you don't like 3D (and honestly, I don't see myself getting a 3D TV for a long time because I don't care THAT much), that's you, but acting like it's just some little fad and people are going to go back to their old black and white sets is pretty silly.

Motion controls and 3D are fads, just like clothing comes and goes in fads. This planet is filled with idiots who look at anything new and immediately fall in love with it, if only for a short period of time. When something else new comes along it's time to jump ship.

Guess what? D&B's turbo theater had seats that would move along with the movie, as well as a bunch of other stuff that would immerse you. Guess what else? Nobody goes to that shit anymore, it's cool but not that cool. People would rather see movies the normal way. Now they want to see them in 3D, but they'll be onto to something else eventually.

                          HDTVs are fads and gimmicks.

I say gaming looks fine on SDTV

                            Dak.

J9 has a more well reasoned argument than you do.

                            This should be a sign.

Yes I realize that 3D seems to be the next thing, but I don't think it is viable, until we can use it like with the 3DS, without the aid of anything other then our own eyes. I already have to wear glasses to make things clear enough to read and drive, or watch TV, I don't want to wear them again to enjoy 3D
