It wasn't apparent at the way you posted it ... in fact, I think I've been at odds with you since you started posting here a long time ago. But I digress.

Well you didn't even read the entire thread because I clarified that it was humor 8 posts later. And if you have an issue with me, take it to PM's. It doesn't belong on the forums.

        Re: FFXIV Benchmark

For further reference, I got a little over 1000 on low resolution with the following specs:

        Windows XP
        Pentium 805D 2.66GHz
        ASUS P5ND2-SLi
        9600GT 512MB (I think, maybe 256MB)
        3GB DDR2 RAM

I haven't tried OC'ing the 805D yet, but I may try after work. I'd like to see if this is a processor bottleneck (this is basically a pseudo-dual-P4), or a GPU bottleneck. I might try to up the bus speed, too, just to see if it helps. If the finances are good around September, though, an upgrade will probably be in order. Hopefully Intel, AMD, and nVIDIA will have come out with lots of new models to drive down prices on current tech by that time.

          New PC, new test!

          - AMD Phenom II P945 (3.0Ghz)
          - 6GBs DDR3 Ram @1600Mhz
          - Intel X25-V Solid State Hard drive (40GB)
          - 2x Ati Radeon HD4890 in crossfire setup
          Results:

          1080p:
Big F'in Picture that should be in spoiler tags

          720p:
Another Big F'in Picture that should be in spoiler tags

          (With Crossfire workaround)

Large pictures need to be resized or put in spoiler tags - TGM

          My apologies! - Shir

            @ Shirai

Very, very sexy results. I'm just envious you're able to xFire with your setup. I need to dump this stock Dell mobo off my rig to be able to do any of that. But as someone once pointed out over at Tom's Hardware, getting that one card that's at the higher end will outperform 2 cards from the low/mid end of things. And cause less compatibility issues. If you were one of the few lucky people who got the 4870 for $129 each then that xFire (2x) setup is still fighting hard and keeping up with the 5830 atm (until the 5830 drops to under $200, which I'm expecting ATI to do since Nvidia threw down the gloves 2 months ago with their 460 pair)

                Re: FFXIV Benchmark

I cant seem to get my benchmark software to run. i get to character info screen but when I run it I get a black screen and then a message that disconnects me.

                My system requirements are:

                Gateway NV78 Laptop

Processor Intel (R) Core (TM)2 Duo CPU T6600

                2.2GHz

                Installed Memory 4.00 GB

System Type 64 bit Operating system

anyone have any idea on what in my requirements is stopping benchmark from running?

---------- Post added at 08:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:34 PM ----------

Everytime I run Benchmark software I keep getting kicked out, and an error message that says

                Program has stopped working.

                My system requirements are:

                Gateway NV78 laptop

                Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T6600
                2.20GHz

                Installed Memory: 4.0

                64 bit Operating System

Any one know what in my requirements are stopping Benchmark?

                  Re: FFXIV Benchmark

                  HOLY NECRO, BATMAN!

                  1. The benchmark is the same one offered during beta. That means it will be full of bugs.

                  2. http://www.ffxionline.com/forums/gen...re-please.html

^ I realize that they are not the same thing but there are tips and tricks in making sure you (a) meet the minimum requirements and (b) ready your system in such a way that you won't have (hopefully) too much problems running the game (or in this case, the benchmark)

                  Edit:

It seems that you do not meet the minimum requirements, at least with the graphics. It looks like an integrated graphics solution and that automatically nullifies your ability to run the game (or benchmark)
