        This was pretty awesome to wake up to this morning.

        Though I'm pretty sure I'll be a Miqo'te, I would have liked to see the Hyur character creation instead, it just seems like we see a lot of Elezen and Miqo'te all the time. Or maybe it's just me.

        But super exciting still!! Yay Keepers of the Moon get pink skin.

          Since you have 2 names now, there are going to be an ASSLOAD of Sephiroth <insert various last names here> to the point that you'll have to call people by their last names!

              If someone names themselves using Xx xX by their name I will be surprised, and I will name them Dumbass of the year. With the addition of last names there is no reason to attempt to make your first name unique in that way, not to mention it adds characters to your name.

                  Eh, it's more of a mental thing in the end, but with how crisp XIV looks, I wouldn't be surprised to see close ups of PC faces in CS and such, and for those having such customization will be real nice. They're subtle changes, but they're more then enough to make it virtually impossible to find an exact twin in this game now, which imo is the best thing to come out of this level of character creation.

                      sephiroth and other name rip offs is still going to be 100,000,000 times better than people with extremely BAD taste with names, disturbing names, offensive names that bypass censorship, stupid names dumber than FF7 clones, and other bad names from games, TV and politics not from final fantasy.

                        No they're not. At least with bad joke/politically incorrect names, the person is showing some signs of wit and cleverness. Xxxsjcloudirothsoulreaperxxx just screams "lazy fanboy". Give me a Mithra Optimus Prime or a Galka Gary Coleman(rip) or a Fookah Ewe any day.

                          but people are blowing things out of proportion. last names or not, most people aren't going to encounter those types of names often anyway.
                          and removing last names isn't going to make the sephirothclouds at all.

                          People whine too much about something that is more of a good thing, with last names, more creative people can now make more creative full names instead of merged ones.

                            You don't know, anymore than we do, that people are going to be more creative because they have a last name. I'll make sure to take screenshots so that you can see your faith in people is mistaken.

                              Of course this entity is going to argue in favor of the myriad drones with all the lazy FFVII-derived names, because this entity is one of them.
