I wonder if they are going to sell the hidden classes separately after launch?
Well I'm not sure where the list is but some of them include Fencer, Enforcer, Evoker, Musketeer and other stuff.
but ya, since they are probably developing them, I don't think they will be sold separately, they could be what separates
the alpha/beta content from the final release content, since they would be exclusive to the full release, not available before then.
So it's unlikely they will sell those extra classes separately.
It's very interesting they are putting extra effort towards extra classes for launch!
Though it's strange there has yet to be a Dagger weapon class, while a Mace class (Enforcer) is pretty much confirmed.
(maybe they got the Mace idea from Agito.)
So ya, there might be more details to be revealed for these new classes, though some say that the official site will probably never show them until after release maybe. Come to think of it. Since the alpha has been going on, the site hasn't been updated lately. hmmm
This is quite possibly the DUMBEST THING I HAVE HEARD!! We pay a monthly fee to pay more later? Stupid!
You have posted some pretty dumb things, but this.. this is just unspeakably stupid.

oh well ya DLC is most unlikely considering the fees would fund expansions and content updates. They sell Expansions separately. I think the mmorpg market might do something similiar to cash shops for certain things, I dunno but just being on guard for the unexpected.
Because of course the reason they won't be out at launch is DLC. {/facepalm}
"Yeah, we have nine jobs in this new FFXI thing that just came out, and they're going to add eleven more... are they not out yet because they're going to be DLC?"
tl;dr: Don't expect EVERYTHING to be available when FFXIV first goes live. Other stuff will be added later after they get the main game running. Sheesh.

You've obviously never played an MMO, or even FFXI for that matter.
FFXI has heaps of pay-for DLC! From items to mini expansions to get items.
the minisodes are a little different in that aspect, but yea still DLC, but FFXI has far less of it then others. I see FFXIV to be the same way, but also see things like what WoW has done, pop up in FFXIV as DLC as well. Like face changing and things of that nature.
But whole classes as DLC? no I don't thing SE would do that.

When I think fo DLC, I don't think of miniexpansions.
Sorry, J9.
I'm not sure what you'd call Modern Warfare 2's Stimulus Package Map Pack then (other than highway robbery, that is). Or the DLC armor for Mass Effect 2. Or the DLC costumes in LittleBigPlanet, Soul Calibur IV, Street Fighter IV. Or the extra game modes in Mega Man 10.
The difference isn't the size of the DLC. It's whether or not it's an extra cost above and beyond what you're already paying to play the game.
