If it's in Alpha now, it'll be in Open Beta before you know it. I'm not saying like next week, but within the next 4-5 months don't ya think? I'm sure when it hits Open Beta, there will be tons of stuff all over the tube.

I took nothing personally, I do what I always do, I report things I see, when people are doing something wrong, I do it in RL and I do it here -.- Its a crime now to report people breaking the "law" .....your insane -.-

You got all this "leaked" info of a game that isn't even complete with an actual INTERVIEW with practically the same "leaked" info, lol.

Being standalone site has it nice like not having your hands tied (like they do at any Curse fan site)

and the core of the game wont change from now till launch its already set in stone they might tweak it a bit they arent going to revamp the core of the design

Pooky's actions didn't affect you in the slightest. If you were busy testing the game, you wouldn't have even known he did it. You went out of your way to try and get him banned, and you found another video, but couldn't make out the name of the tester or you would have tried to get them banned too. This doesn't make you a good person, no matter what you tell yourself to go to sleep at night. It makes you pathetic.

oh but someone else found out their name, and reported them as well. I did not go out of my way to do anything, while I was testing myself, I was jotting down notes, and browsing the internet (its called multi tasking) and I found a link to a major leak of the game, and reported it. I never looked for it, or even thought about looking for it, until it was posted.

And I dare ANY of you to argue this with me...

95% of you have no fucking clue what the hell is going on or how severe this matter really is. People who work in the industry, like myself, know how bad a leak of this magnitude can be. YES, a picture or some text here or there is going to slip... we know that. When screenshots pop up with names blurred out, we cant really do anything about it, and we realize this. HOWEVER, Leaking out game footage of the game that has not be intended for release can, intentionally or not, cause harm to the studios who are making the game.

This kind of shit allows other companies to see just how some of your mechanics work and see what you are doing. If I were to let even one person see a fraction of some of the shit I work on every day I would have my ass fired and prosecuted for security breach and possibly even giving away company secrets. THIS SHIT IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE SEEN BY OTHERS... hense.... SECRET!

You can sit here and harass Kailea all you want, but in the end, he did was right. Fuck all of you for not seeing that. He has never said he was "Mr High and Mighty" nor was he out to rub it in peoples face. You are the douchebags who get pissed because he "ruined" it for you. He didnt ruin shit! He didnt start ANYTHING! Those fuckers who started streaming started it.

Regardless of what you may think, I do not care. A leak is a leak. There are countless numbers of other fan websites that will NOT allow anyone to post anything dealing with leaked pictures/video/text. And they are smart. Other websites that are "fan sites" have already been shut down by SquareEnix because they are allowing that shit. Do not test this... you play with fire, you will be burned alive!

So... if you wish to start more shit, fine. Do it somewhere else.

anything else i agree that an NDA breach is harmful for the companies.. but they just need to learn to cope with it and if they wanted absolute secrecy they shouldnt let people test their games like this. oughta run tests some other way, let them figure out how to do that.

My last comment on this is that I don't care what he did, it may not have been what I would have done but that is his choice. What I DO take issue with is that he feels the need to let everyone know he did it. What is his justification for that?

As for this hurting the game, let's not get overly dramatic. In order to hurt the game by copying some of it's dynamics, they would need access to more than a video stream. Just seeing something is infinitely different than knowing how to code it and that's why employees of a company are so diligently watched because they have the access to this.

And Kailea, I have never acted like I hated you but yes we have butted heads throughout the years on this forum. I look at it as "we'll agree to disagree" and that different individuals have different opinions. So don't martyr yourself and say that we should ban you, that's not how we work here and you know it. I will say that this incident is extremely disappointing and I didn't expect something like this from you.

Spazz, I wholeheartedly agree with your general idea that secrets are supposed to be secret. I too had worked in the gaming industry for a little while.

But imo when the company decided to send their game for outsiders to test, like Bal said, breaches will happen and I bet the company would have already expected it. If total secret is what they want, they need in-house testers that signed an actual law-enforced contract not just puny NDA. That's what we do at EA. You can be brought to jail if you leak information you're not supposed to.

So really, going around shutting down websites is very childish and unprofessional.... I'd be really disappointed if SE really did that.
