Last night I was listening to this sound track while playing FFXI. I think someone mentioned they heard some songs similar to what they've heard in the Castlevania series and I have to agree. There was at least one that seemed like it was copied straight from Symphony of the Night. I also noticed some metal tones in a few of the songs. They weren't as heavy as say In Flames, but more along the lines of Blind Guardian. Overall I think it's some of the best music I've heard and that song with the lyrics was quite good. Anyone know why they would have two copies of it?

I thought the two vocal tracks had some differences in their orchestral music, though I only listened to each one once. The music in this game is very varied and energetic, and that's definitely something that will make this game much more enjoyable. I may actually have to play with the sound on once this starts up.

It's not. It's legit. It's been floating around for like a day and a half now and was ripped from the Alpha by a guy on BG.

It's not. It's legit. It's been floating around for like a day and a half now and was ripped from the Alpha by a guy on BG.

Untrusted Source is untrusted. I'm in the business of computer security, and just because it's on BG or some kids Livejournal doesn't make it safe, and doesn't mean it's not some crap from china that's going to steal your bank account infos.

Let's not get into a discussion about whether this was posted before or not. Yes, it was but it does deserve it's own thread for discussion.

I haven't listened to it yet so how is it? How does it compare to FFXI? Or other FF's?

Are you sure we can compare it to FFXI?

I have never listened to FFXI music on it's own, just in-game, so not sure I can give a fair comarison. I have to say I love the elements that were put into this soundtrack to differentiate the songs. Sure there are the prerequisite songs that a FF game will/should have. But I really do think the elements I mentioned in my first post make it stand out, at least from FFXI.

Of course some of those songs may not be in the game. They could have just thrown in some compositions from another source to throw us off. Conspiracy theory, I has one.

Compared to FFXI... there's a lot of mood music. There really isn't anything notable except the chocobo theme, and the win/level up theme.

Could be. Also keep in mind that FFXI has some tunes sitting in files that never wound up getting used.

Creeper! I know what it is, and how to set it up. I'm just saying, not generally a good idea to run around downloading everything that someone says is "trusted".
