        No.. the 360 codes are just for registering the game with SE. All SE games can be registered with SE members for points and ranking..

        My card for PS3 says "Receive a special item by registering your copy of Final Fantasy XIII"Special item is in bold too.

          It would be awesome if I got the ps3 beta because I was chosen for the ps2 FFXI beta back in the day. And since then I need to play it with a controller. Goodluck to all who enter!

              I haven't been following all the news but did they even confirm that the code with the NA release of FFXIII was for the beta? The code with the JP version IS for the beta AND an in game item in FFXIV. I've read some stuff but have not seen a definitive announcement about this for the NA version. Can anyone link me because I have people breathing down my back for the extra codes.

                yup the red and white paper inside of the FFXIII game case comes with a registration code.
                they must have Square Enix account, and a SE Members account, and once they register it, they will get
                a PROMOTION CODE and be able to apply for the PS3 beta with it!

                the same promotion code is used for FFXIV at full game launch to receive the exclusive in-game item!

                I got mine to work because I made a hotmail account. it seems my yahoo account blocked SE accounts. because
                my hotmail account received their email instantly after making SE ID, and SE member account. compared to my
                yahoo account which still hasn't received an email for two days.

                  So WHERE do you see anything about a beta in there Jenova? Do you wear special glasses that read between the lines?

                  If anyone REALLY knows, could you post a link please? I have 5 of these damn codes and have people that I'd like to get into the beta but I'm not going to get their hopes up if the code does nothing but give you points and a digital item.

                    I registered my ps3 ffxiii online last night. After i registered it, it gives you a promo code for the beta signup. I wrote it down and went and registered again for the beta signup. There's a line in the beta signup that asks you to enter the promo code you got from registering ffxiii. I entered it and finished filling out the beta signup again.

                    So, registier ffxiii online, get promo code, write it down, go signup again for beta, enter promo code you just got.

                        However, once you register at the S-E Members site, and register your FFXIII game, it will provide you with a code to use when filling out your PS3 beta application.

                        The code DOES NOT guarantee beta access- it simply allows you to actually apply for the PS3 beta. If you try to apply for the beta for PS3 without the code, you will get an error message.

                        From what I gather, if you are in NA, the screen with the code should pop up as soon as you successfully submit the registration code that came with FFXIII. It seem though that EU folks have had to wait for an email with the beta promo code.
