Oh my fucking God.

I entered my code on the website, and the next page timed out. So I went back and entered it again, and it's telling me that my code has already registered. It didn't give me my promo code.

Fucking stupid S-E.

Someone tell me that the page you're supposed to view after you register your FFXIII code isn't the page your receive your 20-digit XIV Beta code.

if it is, you need to contact their support instead of going crazy.

There's crazy, and there's being annoyed. Don't confuse the two.

And yeah, I've contacted them about it. We'll see.

They have this on one of their support pages:

- The promotional code can be used for FINAL FANTASY XIV beta testing entry starting Mar. 9, 2010. The FINAL FANTASY XIV in-game item can be received after the official start of the FINAL FANTASY XIV service by entering this promotional code. You may review the code at any time by logging into SQUARE ENIX MEMBERS and visiting the FINAL FANTASY III Features Page

So #1, "FINAL FANTASY III" must mean XIII... And #2, when I go to the XIII features page, it only gives me the option of sending greeting cards.

Betas are such a pain in the ass. Kinda glad they don't appeal to me. I hate seeing games that are unfinished.

Well... That is kinda the point though. Make sure the servers are stable enough to hold large amounts of people. Find bugs, glitches, balancing the game and so on before releasing it, and having to work them out after its been released and loose customers.

but...that is still done even after release ;p but then again that kind of stuff is done through a MMOs whole life time.

Without people playing beta's though, the games would be released alot worse then they already do now.

maybe on other forums, we really don't do that here, and that also has nothing to do with the fact that beta testing still helps with the main big problems (most of the time) on starting MMORPGs

Even with all the arguing (like most forums have) the general population of these forums are more mature then others, and I really don't think anyone here would pull the "OMG I KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT I AM IN BETA" card, hell someone might and surprise me, but that said person would be quickly told to STFU ;p

It's just for a promo code to get an item in the retail version of the game, not the beta lol.

You don't need the code to fill out the beta either.. Just soon as you enter your code, you have the option to fill out the PS3 beta app.
