    I can't believe there's so much disputing over these NDA's.. even on eorzeapedia, there is 6 pages of NDA arguing after one guy said he got his beta invite and he plans to leak info, lol.

    But if everyone is going to get buttswoll over someone disobeying the NDA, they shouldn't even check out whatever leaked info there may be..

          SE will probably do the same thing Apple does, cut you off from the beta.

            I've been on XI since launch, where's my beta invite. =(

            Well, even if I don't get in, I hope everything goes well and we get a great game in the end.

                      Still wondering if loyal FFXI players means all FFXI players who submitted a beta app with their character information as well...or just those who've been subscribed for a certain amount of time.

                        What is "buttswoll" (not even a word, really, and as a made-up word it still spelled wrong) and ass-hatty about believing people should play by the rules?

                        Its your beta invite to lose if you spill the beans, not ours, after all.

                        As I said, if I want to pick up and play a game in its beta state, I'll pick up a copy of Elder Scrolls. The kids that get in the beta are the ones that are going to run around doing all the chest-thumping and acting like being there first makes them some kind of expert on the game.

                        I certainly want people to be in on the beta and help make the game better, but the fact that most are just be there for meaningless bragging rights is pretty sad. I certainly hope SE is picking dedicated FFXI players that signed up, people who were there for the long haul rather than people just there for the next big thing.

                        I won't be one of them either way. I got PSP, DS and Wii games on my radar for now. Potentially FFXI again as well, I think I will survive until FFXIV's retail release and get by on the news that is revealed. Might even try Star Trek in the meantime because it does look fun and different.

                          I has a question. Do you think the NDA from SE says that users are not allowed to tell anyone they got accepted into the Beta? The reason I ask is because I haven't heard a single person say they've gotten in. I understand a NDA can be written however a publisher/owner wants to write it, and it would be very difficult for us to know what is in this one. I'm just looking for some possible first knowledge from people that have participated in Betas before.

                            Yes the NDA prohibits telling people you are in the beta. However there are quite a few people posting they got in on other forums, some of which were very prominent members on these forums back in the day

                              Yeah I admit my first comment about the NDA was a bit harsh on my part, I dough I would turn anyone in for braking the NDA, but its better to spread that stuff privately, and not plaster it all over places like youtube -.-
