Well im goin off the videos i have seen of it. they seem to have been soloing stuff..... as for how do i know they will cap faster? well i would imagine if people was killing more stuff in ffxi rather than standing around in aht urgan doing nothing. they would have caped out faster. Just my opinion tho. if you want links you can google the stuff just as easily as i did srry im not going back threw searching for crap, cuzz i have nothing to prove to you...

The videos that have leaked out so far have been with people still at low levels, I think the highest I've seen people at is about level 4 or 5. FFXI was easilly soloable at that level. The level cap during the alpha is level 20, depending on the mob level you're fighting, your job and your skill, its possible to solo in FFXI at that level.

SE have said their are guild leves that can be soloed, they don't want to exclude people from solo play as much as they were before but there hasn't been any indication yet of how long it will take to reach the level cap. As of yet, I haven't seen anyone at the cap from the alpha and at first release we're told it will be at least level 50, noone can know how long that will take.

Hmm.. I am confused to why you want WoW to stay and not for XIV to be a WoW killer.

You seem more pro XIV than WoW since nothing positive was said. Maybe you like easy paths in life? I dunno. Supposedly you're in the military, and that isn't easy, so I don't understand lol.

I think he does not want WoW killed, because that would mean all the D-bags from it would come to FFXIV

But after a month or so, they would quit though due to how much work is needed to actually play the game.

On your first job to 75, it takes alike 6-7 months for a good amount of the community. Second it takes about 2 months for the rest of them. The reason being, level cap quests and sub jobs.

Don't forget farming, ability to do that goes up as your level does. There's also the learning curve and crossover, as while you learned about your first job, you were learning something about most jobs.

Yea, I am guessing its between WoW and FFXI. But more towards FFXI though, mainly because its SE, and they don't like making stuff too easy or casual. The FF series is kinda hard to be casual with them because of save points and such, because you can't save everywhere.

Oh yes, I must have forgotten about that too. Thanks. I just hope there is a slight grindy feeling with farming, but nothing too major. I mean, having to farm for about 3 hours a week isn't so bad, unlike what you needed to do in FFXI to get some stuff. And grinding for 4 hours a day got pretty boring. lol.

I think it will lean more towards FFXI in the casual department too. I just can't see them making big leaps and bounds so suddenly after how "quickly" they responded in FFXI. People keep talking about guildleves but seem to forget that making gill to afford new stuff/meds/etc can also make the game less casual.

It's not really that hard to get through. As long as you can maintain your fitness level (which is easy, once you get there and with the fact that they actively train you daily) getting through the rest of the military is cake. Even deployments aren't that bad. Unless you're something like Special Forces.

Yeah getting back in shape is hard. If you're not in some semblance of shape when you enter the military, it will kick your ass at first, but they will whip you into shape.

I wish I had kept a strong workout routine after I got out, but having kids kind of made that difficult to do. Not really blaming them, per se, but it's hard when you're up for 6 out of 9 hours a night and you're so tired you don't even remember your name. Fuck working out when you're that tired, lol.

I remember I could do 20-30 chin-ups when I was still in high school. Now im struggling just to complete 2 chin-ups.... Trying hard to get it up to 10 reps but the possibility seems really slim.

Yeah five years ago I could do 50 pushups straight, non-stop. Now, because of both the extra weight I've gained and the lack of strength I still have in my arms, I can barely do 5.
