    Crysta may be the currency used to pay for FFXIV.

    Crysta, The Square Enix Currency // Siliconera

    It's possible. Though I still think they should support time/subscription cards sold at game stores.
    But maybe they are planning that too. Crysta cards to pay for the FFXIV fee.

    But wouldn't they then need to attach an extra program beyond PSN like PlayOnline but called something different?

      Jim Sterling on Destructoid as already decreed that it is dumb.

      I don't think he's had his identity stolen before. Once you have, you kinda look at point cards and saving your CC info online in a totally different light and like the security of point/subscription cards.

          No one's saying CC won't be an option. Apparently in Japan you can buy them with your CC or just buy the point cards.

            Looks like a good idea, especially if they make these available at electronics and games stores for those who wanna pay cash and such.

              Kitten the whole point of having this system is to give people the choice. If you don't want your CC info exposed, then here's a new way to buy game time.
