Actually, Pugilism forbids the use of feet except to move. You are confusing it with 'Boxing' which incorporates Thai, Burmese and French forms. (Muay Thai, Lethwei & Savate respectively)

I liked Fist of Legend more than Fists of Fury even though Bruce Lee was in FoF, I felt FoL with Jet Li and that military guy was a better final battle.

Kiss of the Dragon was okay but I prefer Wheels on Meals and Project A with Jackie Chan.

Tony Jaa has amusing movies with some rather vicious combat in them O.O I quite like the way he does things as it's generally more accurate: Notice Minion -> Gauge -> Disable -> Move to next Minion ... doesn't often mess around with more than one hit.

Jet Li.... I own The One (actual martial art forms, yay!) and seen Kiss Of The Dragon, other than that I haven't watched the Western ones he's been in. I enjoy the Chinese movies more, once you get used to the supernatural style of direction as a cultural thing they can be quite good. Hero and Fearless are the ones with him in them.

(Yes, I also like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon as well as House Of Flying Daggers <.< )

Edit: Pugilism is a sport, not a martial art. Never has, is, or will be a real form of defense. Anyone who knows real hand-to-hand combat of any type would just laugh at a pugilist.

I realized it would be nice if FFXIV invents original holidays instead of just ripping them from Earth. :p

I came up with some good holiday ideas based on each FFXIV races culture.

Ya instead of just earth based holiday events, Eorzea should have it's own original holidays! :3

There is a reason why real holidays are used, and why MMORPGs "rip" them

Its because real people are behind the characters, I love it when Christmas comes around in FFXI and Easter, and some of the Japanese holidays/festivals as well.

And I'd like to add, NOT THE SAME OLD SHIT EVERY DAMN FESTIVAL, SQUARE! Oh look, same prizes, same activities, oh what fun.....I'd rather have NO festival than that.

Yea. especially a Prate Festival. ^_^

Selbina and Mhuara only (And the ships between teh two) lol. You get prizes that you can wear to look like a pirate. Use a "Gun" to shoot other Prates (Players), and get prizes for "Killing" others. That would be fun. ^_^

Generally speaking, for every holiday they have, they do add new events and new prizes, they just add them on top of the old ones. When I first started, all you could do on Halloween was give sweets to NPCs to get a costume or an item. Nowadays you can trade sweets to NPCs, grab a buddy and get costumes under bomb decorations, play a game with dead witches and go hunting bats and an ahriman for a robe. This year was the first year they didn't add a new event, but they still managed to add a new item. Look at Summer fest, once again every year they add more and more new events to their line up while offering both new and old items. Originally it was just goldfish scooping, now it's Goldfish scooping, clamming, Murmor, festival games and whatever else they've added recently that gives you the white Yukatas. Each year the holidays get bigger and bigger and I honestly prefer the concept of taking the same festival and making it bigger each year over the idea of making a whole new festival for the same holiday. With one you watch the tradition grow and expand, gaining new events and prizes while still allowing new players to get all the old items they missed. With the other you get something new but you lose out on the old.

That's exactly how festivals and holidays work in FFXI. Do you even play this game?
