Weapons and armor permanently broke in Final Fantasy Tactics with the appropriate knight skills.
    I definately remember this.

    Peace out.

I agree, its something that we can not even mess with yet, Its most likely going to be like WOW, where once you get to 0/100 then you can just take it and get it repaired, or even like the way Dark Cloud does it where you can repaire it and it wont break, unless you let it get to 0/100

This trend also continued in to Final Fantasy Tactics Advance with the Sniper Abilities Aim: Weapon and Aim: Armor. Heck, they even had an Aim: Wallet.

http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/K...ntasy_Tactics) Found both now on the same page as Knight skills (Break Armor and Weapon.) I still don't understand why Break Weapon didn't have its own page like Break Armor.

FFT abilities and FF main series abilities aren't exactly the same things. Armor/Weapon break have often been status enfeebles, FFXI drew from the main series interpretations. I doubt in an MMO context that they would be so cruel as to have degradation and instant weapon/armor-breaking moves. That would be stupid.

Final Fantasy Tactics is a must play, all the way through. It's so massively awesome that it doesn't even need a number to match the significance of the main FFs.

Get the PsP remade version, if your going to get it, the few things they added to the game make it worth it.

The tasks and chores undertaken on a daily basis by Disciples of the Hand around Eorzea are manifold: seeking out and procuring the most select materials and ingredients, meticulously and offtimes painstakingly crafting and synthesizing, tirelessly peddling and bartering their beloved wares.
Doesn't sound like such a departure from FFXI's terrible crafting system.

avoid the PSP version, it has game breaking slowdown.

oh yea, FFTactics is known as one of the hardest Final Fantasy games ever, it does have a high learning curve or rather difficulty first time through, unless you learn the skill building and Job setup exploits ahead of time. :p
