    ... I just hope that the Xbox Limitations wont affect the game play. ((Sorry, I just had to say it.))

    Just waiting for the WII players to want to get a copy of it... ugh...

      Well the main reason for "PS2 limitations" was RAM, and the 360 has more then the PS3 dies

      but not to get into a console war, I am sure nothing would change, if FFXIV was released on 360 as well.

              lol, now that I would believe, just wish I could get my Samsung Behold to do at least NES emulation, and I am sure it could, but I cant find home brew apps or emulators for my phone -.-

                I got a ap for that ... but I can't figure it out and totally gave up when I saw none of the games I'd want on NES were actually available.

                  I dislike the NES emu on iPhone. My son thinks its ok but agrees the controls can be a pain.

                  As for the topic at hand, I imagine that MS is biding their time and waiting to see how FFXIV is received. FFXI was lukewarm at best so I don't think they'll be jumping into FFXIV too quickly.

                    Theory

                    A small group of the development team already has the platform (not sure what else to call it) for the new system, is programming for it, but SE can't release that news until MS announces the new XBox.

                        The Xbox was released in Nov 2001 and the Xbox 360 was released Nov 2005, if I am not mistaken.

                        That does not mean the next one is right around the corner. However, I am willing to bet MS is currently in development. Who knows, maybe it won't be here any time soon, but that doesn't mean SE isn't planning ahead for it.

                        Here's another theory for ya, maybe they'll release an XBox 360 BluRay Edition that is slightly more powerful than the current 360.

                          I keep reading things (which may totally be BS) that Sony has proprietary mumbojumbo keeping Micro$ from being able to impliment BR. But I can also just see Micro$ still feeling burned over HDdvd tanking... who knows? I'm not a stock holder. I just play games

                            MS already said they would no do a Bluray upgrade to eh 360, because it would basically be pissing on their current fanbase.

                            MS an Sony already said that they plan on having their systems last another 8-10 years (but we all know that wont happen)

                            Infact Nintendo is the first to say they want to release their next system within a few years.

                            I am betting that will be a system that will use the current controller system the Wii uses, but with a much more powerful system.

                              That would be nice to have the WII V2.0!

                              But seriously though... With the way they have the wii atm... They can make it a stronger system later on, and make it more like you ARE the character, rather than just swinging the remote, you wear controllers on your ankles, and you jog in place, your character will run, and so on, rather than what they have it now. And yes... I know about the pad that they have, but I just don't like pads since DDR... Those things slid all over the place...

                                The Wii Fit board is much sturdier then those crappy DDR pads, but I think what you want is a bit much, Wii controls currently are as far as I would go, I want to play a game not tire myself out ;p
