    Thats the difference between class and jobs! XD

    But... What I think though.

    As a "Class" you are learning their skills, and can use them while learning another classes skills.

    But, as a job you "ARE" that job. You cant take the skills from that job, and put it on another job unless you sub it.

      I don't think you'll be a mage with heavy armor..

        I want to know why a XBOX version is just a shity after thought. And not a initial console of choice.

          I think a big part of it has to do with the relationship between Sony and SE. Also i heard MS turned it down. But I don't know how true that is.

            Re: FFXIV interveview.

            MS turned down Champions Online despite Cryptic working hard developing both 360 and PC versions at the sametime.

            MS policies for online won't change so they won't be getting any new mmorpgs for years, if ever. Also they fear mmorpgs eating up the sales of other games. They want players to continuing buying short term games, than a long term game that people will invest all their money on instead.

            MS acknowledges how superior and fun mmorpgs can be compared to your typical MP skirmish game, that's why they fear
            going that route because the sales and servers of the simple online 360 games would dry up so fast,
            many people wouldn't even pay for XBL anymore! And they don't want mmorpgs interfering with the money they make off of Gold.

            AND THEY KNOW people won't pay for an mmorpg and Gold at once, so MS chooses to not do business with mmorpgs
            unless they get a share of the profits from the fees, but mmorpg developers would think MS is crazy to expect that.

            If they did went along with that idea, they would have to double the fees so MS makes money, while they make optimal profits themselves.
            but then more customers would complain about paying close to 30 dollars a month. So it's better to ignore MS.

            Anyways the PS3 is getting a price drop, anyone that isn't getting a good enough PC should just buy a PS3 if they want
            to experience FFXIV that badly. otherwise they will miss out on the golden age of FFXIV just like XI.

              yeah I've been asking around, apparently they got asked back when it was first shown and turned it down, I think now though after seeing it there may be things in the works to get it onto the platform or the next platform but it'll cost microsoft abit of cash I bet, its hard to get concrete information out of my friends that work in that division because of all the security measures in place, unless I want to go in person its a fat lot of good getting anything solid.

                Don't even joke, I wants my sword magic so bad @.@;

                Still pissed @ the lack of pet jobs but I'm sure they'll get added in the first expansion or so. Not terribly crazy about having pre-determined looks for each class either, unless you can swap gear to stay that class but change your appearance (the Gladiator is kinda fugly, and I really don't like that Archer's cap)

                Very, very happy about the persistent/seamless world revelation. No more zones, WOOT!

                  I'm sure visible gear is as customizable as before.

                  I dont think they would do power ranger uniforms for each Job where people can't change what they wear.

                      Yes the story is defiantly very important for FF14. We will have high quality cutscenes with voiceovers and fx, please look forward to it.

                      There will also be voiceovers on mostly every character/npc in the game.
                      This alone was worth the whole interview for me.

                          well the actual pacing seems enough time between actions to input the next action without extra delay.

                            I only really glanced at most of those Q&A's and missed this;

                            Holy crap that's going to be quite the effort (and costly) on SE's part to have voiced sequences in multiple languages. Still way to go ^^ it renews my hope for at least basic voices for our characters (for emotes) rather than just synthesized grunts.

                              Guarantee they already have the voice overs.

                                no I doubt they do, all the game play and graphics are first priority in most games, then the final part of production (before beta and packaging of course) is doing any and all voice acting.
