NEW INFO FROM GAMESCOM 2009!
My friend just told me that he just had drinks with some of the guys from SquareEnix and he told me he was able to confirm some amazing things! This was in the email he just sent me:
Hey Mike!
You'll never believe who I just had drinks with! I was just having a drink and a few guys from SquareEnix came up to me. They asked me if I had checked out their booth and I told them that I played the trial of FF14. We started talking and I think I caught him at a good time because he told me something very interresting! Here is a rough run down version of it all:
I loved playing Final Fantasy XIV, but I noticed that the trial was some things missing. Like when the Elezen with an Bow would pull out her bow and shoot, she motioned to pull out an arrow from a quiver that wasnt there. And then she held it in her bow even though there was no arrow in her hand.
"The trial version of Final Fantasy XIV is still in Alpha phase of development. We realize there is still work to be done."
A lot of players who play FFXI have always wondered what would it look like to actually see the capes you had equipped. Will FFXIV allow players to see them on their characters?
"We are constantly looking online for what the players would like to see changed. We have known about this discussion for awhile. I can assure you, players will not be disappointed."
So we can expect to see capes in FFXIV?
"Amongst other things."
Like... Necklaces? Rings? Earrings?
"Players wont be disappointed." *smile*
I dont know what this means but I cant wait to see what happens.
