E body another name for Adaman Hauberk, which is a fairly rare and difficult to obtain piece of body armor that WAR, DRK, and BST can wear, and easily one of the top pieces for each of those jobs. (Others are situationally better). Basically, he's making fun of the fact that I brought a bunch of insanely geared people to Nyzul and that was the contributing factor to our success. (Which isn't 100% true.)

the problem with an organization like SeeD is that they are still a mercenary force. they don't wear their uniform outside of the academy and ceremonies (well there was that Dollet mission, but that was another case.) and the students were too lazy and inactive for the most part. And many of them graduate so they can join Galbadia's military or other private goals.

I still love Garden however there needs to be something more important in FFXIV that players can join than a mercenary force. Like the kingdoms military, and then the kingdom's knights when people advance high enough.

There should be something that forms a closer and persistently active relationship and career with the players. In my opinion, the heart of Eorzea, the royal crown or whoever rules the region, should be one of the options the players should be able to join and have lots to do (missions, repeatable quests and events, tasks that benefit the region. and other things that bring members together for these events.) and maybe some hidden organization that has a secret base.

it would be a nice change because Vana'diel felt so distant with our "employers". we were just a hired hand, that's all.
and from the sound of the Leaves/Reeves custom quest system that Guilds hand out, we might be just an adventurer again.


Though there is still information about Guilds we may not know about yet. And there is no telling if the cities and stuff have other organization we can join.

Or maybe non-Windurst nations suck with their plots. But I'm banking more on the first one.

EDIT: Or hell, just done any expansion period. I'm pretty sure "I" have saved the world at least 4 times by now. And I've seen the representatives for the three nations like 10 times. And then Shantotto is a bitch to them, but that's neither here nor there.

well um, the RP groups and certain Linkshells might come up with some cool harmonious organization.

I pushed XI aside for various reasons, though even if I wanted to go back, the system is melted.


This time I will go all the way with progress! Especially since this will be the first mmorpg I will start at launch, so I won't
be in Linkshells where everyone is doing the highest stuff while I'm feeling left behind and all that.

You musta been a Tauren Warrior in WoW. I was a rogue and I jumped circles around warriors all the time cause I had to do it not to get hit. It was strategic.. Jumping didn't help with ranged or spell attacks on you, nor did it help when an enemy was attacking you. It helped in PvP cause they lose line of sight. But the good thing is, EVERYONE can do it.

It may annoy you, and just cause it annoys you, it shouldn't be added but the game doesn't revolve around you being annoyed by it either. Setting a limit on it is a dumb idea.. get real. And people will find something else to abuse if it's not jumping it'll be something else and everyone will bitch about that and then we have endless bitching about retarded things.. i.e. Jumping.. Hardly anyone on my server (Smolderthorn) jumped around pointlessly. Sometimes it's boring to just run a straightline so you tap the jump, then tap it again..

That is what bothers me, I challenged you to a fight, not a jumping contest..... I don't care what class you are, its an MMORPG not an action game. My case in point.....

Sorry about that, let me stand here while you stab me. How unsportsmanly of me to think I should attempt to move out of the way of your blade!

I'm sure you don't realize this, but melee attacks have no vertical range limit in WoW. I know fights like Onyxia are probably before anyone's time on this forum, but back in the day when you fought Onyxia and she flew into the air you would follow her around on the ground and still be able to auto attack from there.

Jumping was just a small line of sight annoyance and all you had to do was drop a movement impairing effect on the guy to render it useless. Unfortunately, you have a scrub mentality and prefer to play by rules you make up instead of the rules of the game.
