Unless they decide to delay it for 3-5 years lmao.

Please don't lump everyone together. I'm sure there is someone living in your state/province/district that has done something equally as stupid/cruel. I realize you were most likely just being cute which is ok if you follow it up with something like j/k. Flippant comments like that make me wanna slap my child

(j/k, I have no children, nor do I condone slaping them).

The thing that finally pushed me into getting a PS3 was the MSG4 Bundle pack. It was an 80 gig HD ps3 with 4 USB, card readers, backwards compatibility (one of the last models with it) and of course MSG4. For 500 it wasn't a bad deal at all as I got one of the best all around versions of the PS3 and it came with one of it's best exclusive games. I'll definitely be getting 14 on it, so I can have the ability to play both it AND XI at the same time!

Jeez, I haven't posted here in quite some time. I'm super excited about XIV Since my character in FFXI is...um, indisposed at the moment, I'll just wait until it releases.

I've got FFXII (still unbeaten D: ) and other things to keep me busy 'till then.

I wouldn't bet on a PS3 price drop until at least X-mas, if at all. Sony is very reluctant to do it because of the massive operating losses they've been suffering from PS3.

I've got no choice but to wait, unfortunately. If I had my way, I'd be running around in-game right now

Let's just say things with my POL ID and Registration numbers are...complicated so I can't log in or retrieve my account.

All for the best I suppose, I was horribly addicted to FFXI. This gives me time to do other healthier things while I wait for XIV.

Yep you did get a great deal. By the time I was ready to buy my 2nd PS3, they were all sold out of the MGS4 package. Really ticked me off. I ended up getting $100 off the one I bought though with a coupon but I would MUCH rather have the one that you got. (No backwards compatibility on my 2nd one, but its the one for the living room so no biggie.)

They still have 60GB PS3s on Ebay (not for long), but I'm gonna get myself a 60GB and at least a 250GB harddrive to replace the base 60GB one with.

I'm not really a fan of storing movies/etc on the PS3 (I can do that with the PC), but at least if I have enough space, my PS3 can be pretty much my entertainment server.

I can't make all my pron files Hidden like how I do on my PC, but oh well.

DEF getting a PS3 this summer to get my feet wet. There are so many games I want on the system, and the list keeps getting larger.

Hey at least you didn't stop for 3 months because life issues, come back only to find out when you asked via elephone for square to stop charging your credit card whilst you weren't playing that they instead completely wiped out your account with everything including your keys of the game. My copy of the game became useless after that date, ended up having to buy it again and ended up on shiva.

Although the move to shiva was more a blessing then a curse as I actually had vastly more fun there then on midgardsomr, mainly because I got the benefit of leveling up with people that were just starting out like me and I managed to enjoy myself way more then with randoms while trying to get up to the level of my linkshell.

If you want to try it again though why don't you just make a trail account, simple process, only downside is you have to start from square-one.

FFXII is really one of my favorite FF games. very recommended you complete it after doing all espers and mark hunts.

it's not as great as FFXI, but it's still one of the few FFs I would play more than once. the story is great, the characters are likable, all the Esper battles were fun and the mark hunts were very interesting. I ended up playing for about 120 hours before finishing the last part of the story.

My only complaints really is that you can't choose who you wanna use in towns, and the boss before the final boss should
of been as hard or at least as durable as Gilgamesh. and the final bosses first two forms should of had triple the HP, because those forms can end too fast. the 2nd form especially would have been as epic as Kam'lanaut if they gave him enough HP to enjoy the battle.

oh ya my other complain is that the summons are the weakest they ever been due to their low HP and inability to level them up. but they make up for it with great damage, especially the highest rank espers, very original designs and amazing special finishers! they just get killed off very quickly. but I'm sure there are experts out there that can use them effectively.

oh ya my other complaint is that there are no weaponskills/limit breaks for the weapons. only 3 "limit breaks" per character.
which look cool, but get repetitive chaining them over and over again. but other that that it's a fun game, I wouldn't want other games to use the license board, though. I prefer FFTactics Job system.

since the same artist also made Vagrant Story (a challenging masterpiece!), I'm deeply interested in how beautiful and magnificent FFXIV's people and world will appear in-game.

I'm enjoying FFXII! I just got to Archades the other day.

I've put in about 130 hours off and on; it's taking me a long time to get through the game because I decided to do a "122333" challenge on my first playthrough. I have spent too much time farming and just messing around, so I'm ready to beat it now.

Plus, FFVII just came out on PSN, so even if I can't play FFXI, I can do final fantasyish stuff for the next year () or so until XIV is out.
