Re: The *ahem* OFFICIAL "FINAL FANTASY XIV Online" Thread of Ultimate Anticipation!
There is.
Let us turn our moghouses into shops if we so desire, maybe even give a us little NPC shopkeeper or moogle and let us spend gilz in customizing their outfits. Turning your MH into a shop will let anyone come into it. You can access these shops by a new feature when you leave your MH, instead of going outside or something, there'll be an option called go shopping or some such thing. If you click on that, you get a list of various moghouses to go to as well as a little description of each one. This'll be exactly like the search comments.
Possibly have it Go Shopping > choose from guild or HELM activity (woodworking, weaving, etc) > search comments to pick where you want to go.
No new zones needed, and probably just needs some minor tweaks to the current systems in place. Give the shopkeeper a new block of 80 inventory space, or however much, to hold stuff for selling. Only holds stuff with a price attached to it however.
Though I do sense a potential abuse of 999,999,999.99 gil items in the shops, but if the shop is also listed by name then you can avoid that particular person if you so desire. Also let's you avoid buying from certain people if you want to as well.
There has to be a better way to handle that without having 30 AFK characters just outside a main city.
