Re: E3 2009: FINAL FANTASY XIV Online Coming in 2010
there will be a site for it, I'm sure, just like any other mmorpg out there. it might be too early for a forum, we know the surface of the information but not enough to really get waist deep with how it works. a speculation topic is sufficient for now.
but ya I agree, the good thing of good soloing options is that it gives people that are screwed without a party, a means to keep getting decent XP and leveling up without needing to place any more risk than a party does fighting an IT.
Ya parties will always get XP faster and less downtime, but still, they should be more generous with XP and capabilities to beat a decent mob for soloers.
ALSO,
if FFXIV has a more useful search system for needy people, then people that like to help that "can" help them, would be aware of their situation and they would get help sooner.
Beause the whole mentor system is not all that useful. more people need help coming to them, not the other way around (needy people who ask Mentors who end up being most likely busy at the moment anyway.)
If I didn't "/sea all 17-19" and saw a 19 without a subjob, and if I didn't ask them if they needed help with subjob items, they would have not gotten their subjob that day. They thanked me after it was done.
A good search option and flag option that helpers and the needy can use to find each other, without having to go down
every possible list and zone and reading people Comments for clues to what they might need help with (if they need help at all), would save people the trouble of needing to shout in towns for help as much, and get things done sooner
based on the people that are seeking people to help.
there should be a worldwide search system that lets people flag themselves for needing some emergency help
(quest, mission, LB, SJ, Raise, etc. etc.) That would really improve things quite a bit within the community. Because
as things are now, there is a thick fog between helpers and the needy.
