I would Recommend to all players, Even experienced to use <bt> cuz the party will not be quite pleased if you aggro another enemy and get you all killed. For example a black mage in our party in kuftal tunnel casted a de-buff on one of the lizards and we were fighting crabs. Well the room is full of about 15 lizards and they link. They were also too high for us to kill. We all made it out alive with the use of Escape which was really fortunate. I've had many situations where the party wasn't so fortunate. Thanks for the <bt> info i didnt even know it existed, You learn something every day. Also Great job on the Beginners guide Lionna!

Is there a way to change the font color for "/echo"?
"/echo" is a message you send to yourself and only you will see it displayed.
For example:
As a MNK you have the job ability to use "Boost" which enhances your ATK. This ability last about 5 minutes with a 15 second wait period. This ability however is stackable, meaning the more times you use it within that 5 minute period the more powerful your first hit will be when you engage an enemy for battle. Is possible to almost double your power on the first ATK hit by using this method. My reason for asking is basically cause this is the set up I have for my Boost macro:
/t <me>
/ja Boost <me>
/wait 15
/echo !!!BOOST READY!!!
When it says "!!!BOOST READY!!!" is basically shown in default font color. I'd like to change the color to be able to notify myself when my "Boost" is ready to use again and been that most messages are in default color is a little hard to catch that message if there's lots of text going. I've looked though the options but nowhere could I find the option to change the "/echo" font color.
This is really not a big deal at all but I was just wondering if I might just be overlooking something. In the end I could just change every other font so only "/echo" would be default color but I was hoping to change it to something more noticeable.

The easiest way i know to do that is to make your /t text a different color and /t your self when boost is ready. So your macro would end with:
/t <me> Boost Ready
instead of the /echo line. I changed all my font colors so they are eaisly recognizable as /t, /p, /l and /sh. If you do that then you are the only one that will see it (save on the pt spam) and you can make it stick out do some degree.Main: RNG 59

Nicely done. I wish I had had this back when I started, but my wife (who just started playing) will certainly use it--and there were a couple things I didn't know too!:p
thanks!

Wow Lionna, this is great stuff!
Im from the Netherlands, where FF XI hasn't even been released yet, (like the rest of Europe) but i'm reading a lot about it, and I'm definitely going to play FF XI.
By the way, does someone knows the release date for Europe? And is there going to be something like a Europe-only server, or do we have to get in worlds with everyone in the lvl 70?
Again thx Lionna, greetings from FThe road remains wide open while your dreams are alive. Only fear can block the way.
