I regret that I did not take more screenshots. I was too busy enjoying myself to think of taking pictures. Also, I'm running on the min spec, so everything probably looks as bad as the game is capable of looking. Post some better ones than mine! :3

There's no size limit if you host them elsewhere. Just uncheck "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" when you embed it.

Poor guy drowned. Upon returning hours later, I found even more bodies piling the water. Look at those suspicious bastards in the background...



In the end, after playing a male Miqo in Phase 2 and Lalafell now, I've decided I will be joining the game as an Elezen. Taking this dude to release, maybe with a few adjustments.

Not going to lie. I thought XI would be my first and last MMO. But the closer ARR gets, the more I think of joining.

Yeah that's how I felt for a while, then around 1.17 I started to change my mind about XIV - of course, Yoshida's done extremely well inspiring confidence unlike a certain other former-SE dev whom shall remain unnamed.

I created a new character for Phase 3, a Male Miqo and i just typed a random name for it. Note this pics are screenshots and I use standard mode which is one of the lower modes and still the graphics are nice and crisp.



Basically a Marauder at Limsa Lominsa

O/S the marauders guild


Looking out over the main shipping port


Killing water sprites for hunters log


Riding auto return choco back to limsa


Fighting a Gobbue


Aleport I beleive or costa del sol can't remember which


Exploring areas well above my level, this is Outer Nosca

I also checked out my old character Littlebrick who was a lvl 12 Lancer when I left the game I msut admit, that going through some of teh early quests its probably best to start afresh, only bonus of an existing character is the gear and money you already have but thats it unless your quiet high up and want to go to the outer areas for new mob fights and fates.



I only went on this charcter to explore Gridinia.

Not sure if anyone can actually follow my links. Please let me know if you can't. There was something weird in my first picture (look near Chocobo's chest towards the water .. I see funky textures) I should report this as a bug to SE ... LOL

I don't see anything out of the ordinary, except that you have negative anti-aliasing.

Speaking of the anti-aliasing, anyone notice it seems to be... off during this Phase? I felt like we could control the graphics a lot more during Phase 2.

I don't see anything out of the ordinary, except that you have negative anti-aliasing.

There's flower patterns in the water lining the wall of the cliff, and unless this is one of those "Easter Eggs" developers put in, I'm willing to bet it's a texture bug.

Oh and I don't have AA on. I can turn it on but that would interfere with finding bugs and making it reproducible.

Speaking of the anti-aliasing, anyone notice it seems to be... off during this Phase? I felt like we could control the graphics a lot more during Phase 2.

Yoshi-P stated in the last live feed that there will be Direct X enhancements to follow release in subsequent patches. I'm thinking that the time line is a little too tight for them to worry about higher end graphics output, so you people with top of the line rigs just need to sit tight for a few more weeks after release to play the game in some glorious imagery.
