The lakes in the Black Shroud always remind me of that scene in FFX where Tidus and Yuna wade out into the Macalania Spring.



Similar to my (vintage) shot of a mob of adoring arachnids in Korroloka Tunnels (FFXI) ... except these are the simian varieties.

Whose the nerd with the glasses in frame 3? I'm doing the Gridania quest-line... so I haven't seen him. All I know so far is that I have a strong urge to punch him in the face. Am I justified?

He's one of the "Chosen" but I don't know very much about him in particular. He wasn't around in the first few questlines for Limsa. I'm more intrigued about the Miqo'te (You may have seen some of my prior screens on her) as she is affiliated with one of the (9?) independant nations/city-states found in this part of Eorzea. Her home was taken over by the Garlean Empire (or at least it was hinted at) and she is on the hunt for (lost/stolen) artifacts.

The fact that there's humanoid NPCs that you fight and they either exist in the world as random mobs or spawned from leves seems to indicate that eventually, we adventurers who represent the 3 major city-states, will come into direct contact with the bigger adversary, the Empire, and may eventually participate in large "conflict" events. Either full scale war, covert operations or competitive land grabs (i.e., conquest from FFXI) Of course, I have no such proof of this claim, but it's something that's always been at the back of my mind as I've been participating in the quest lines for all 3 city-states (Cause I have an alt from each of the city-states and have been quietly leveling them up, both of which are 15+)

I like what you have posted but ; ; you should really have added a spoiler alert. Some people like to figure out the storyline on their own. ( I already did it but im speaking for those that have not )

There's not much revealed in my screenshots and if you think there are, trust me, there aren't. Bits and pieces do not a story make and most people generally don't care about it as much. Mostly because you will more than likely only get to see one story line and you'd probably want to see the others. It's not like FFXI where you could switch allegiance.

Plus, I think J9 has already done the spoiling for all of us, what with the lurid HD quality footage being posted all over the general forums.

Ok sorry I didnt really go through them all it just looked like they were back to back storyline SS's. I do however like your character ^^ she's cute!

OH *UCK YES! A very happy new year indeed for me. Plus, in a few weeks, the Chinese Zodiac officially turns to the Year of the Rabbit for me. Maybe I should get a new job (I meant IRL)
