    Fishing Database

    Hi all

    I just wanted to tell all of you about this project I am working on. When FFXI was released all those years ago I created a fishing database called Final Fishing (Kida's FFXI Fishing Database - Home). At the moment I am trying to do something similar with FFXIV although this time I am trying to get mining and harvesting into it as well as some crafting.
    So far we have 40 things that can be fished in the database so if you want to know how to catch them (what bait and rods to use and what areas to go to) please check out my site at www.DisciplesOfTheLand.com

    I hope you will enjoy it and take with you a lot of information.
    Years ago I created Final Fishing so people playing FFXI could easily find information on how to fish. If you know of the site I hope you enjoyed using it and it helped you.
    Now I am trying to do the same for FFXIV. I plan on making this database for fishing, harvesting and mining while getting all the information that may be interesting for crafters as well. I hope you will take a look and that you find it interesting:

    Gasp, I loved your website. :D I'm surprised you're still alive! In the still-interested-in-a-MMO sense, anyway.

    Well, I'd be happy to help with the database. Only I wasn't invited in Beta... and my computer sucks. So, until the PS3 release then, woo.

      Oh yes I am very much alive thank you

      I must admit that I kinda let Final Fishing die. The information is still there but I have not been updating in a LOOONG time but with XIV coming out I wanted to start all over and get it done much better this time around. As I mentioned we are also focusing on mining and harvesting. Also there will be some focus on crafting as I am trying to get all the recipes in the database. I think the datastructure I have at the moment is pretty sound and I think I am the only one really taking the different bases of an item into account.

      With the open beta (yes I have a key and no I can't get it to work LOL) I hope to get a lot of new information. I am desperately looking for moderators so if you want to help out you are more than welcome. If you want to just register at the forum and send me a pm and I will add you to moderators. I really want to map all the information on fishing, mining and harvesting. When that is in place I hope we can get all recipes and items.
