I take back what I said about Holy making /BLM appealing. I totally forgot that with /SCH you could get half-MP Holys, and that's even more absurd.

Yeah, Penury > Holy would be better in most cases, for the same reasons SCHs would do Parsimony > Thunder IV or such. Being able to nuke for respectable damage over a greater period of time is often better than getting a small boost to your epeen in the short term.

I always assumed people used video recording to get accurate times. This is how Haste testing was generally conducted, and also how Fast Cast testing was done in the old days.

For extra accuracy, you should always cancel your target after you confirm the spell cast. That way, the target box reappears the very instant your spell casts, removing any ambiguity from the animations.

The problem with going /SCH is that it offers no MAB to Holy. Sure Penury > Holy is very nice but the cap for Solstice resets when Holy is used which without a nice MAB means that you essentially just burned up a strat on a spell that will only be useful to MB even when capped.

Holy can break 1.3k on a MB from a BLM sub. I've never seen Holy break 500 even when MB'd from a SCH sub. That is a HUGE difference and I would gladly pay a mere 50MP for an extra 800 damage off a MB
