  • rdm going whm/rdm soon question on weapons

had a question about weapons... I'm currently a 10 rdm and going whm/rdm hopefully tomorrow evening due to some LS help.

I'm stuck at work and wondering what weapons I'll be using as whm/rdm, and should I start working on those now...

I've been using sword/shield but should I go club/staff or anything else?

Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Don't worry about shield, but equip one if you wish if you're using clubs.

Otherwise, use them clubs with INT and MND bonuses.

If staff, use one which increases MP.

Options are kinda limited in those levels.

While soloing Rdm, use sword. It's your best weapon. In groups it depends, if you're a back row caster (which I recommend) and in need of more MP, use staff with MP bonus. Other wise use wands with INT/MND bonus.

For Whm, use whatever gives you the most damage when solo. Staff/wands in groups for stat bonus.

You won't be hitting things in groups as mages.

I still recommend using staff for the first 11 levels of white mage, before you start joining parties. There aren't a whole lot of useful club-type weapons in that range that are easily accessible for purposes of combat, and you're generally soloing in that level range.

After that, if you had the foresight to start in Windurst, you might ask for some help from LS mates to take down Nunyenunc, a Notorious Monster in West Sarutabaruta who drops the extremely useful Pilgrim's Wand, which gives you a +2 bonus to MP recovery when resting.
