  • Is there a way to scroll through party?

With computer version of this game? I would rather scroll through each party member then using the F-2-F7 keys. PLease let me know if I can highlight one party member and just scroll through each other? Thanks..

Your TAB key moves through targets, not sure if that is what you are looking for, for instance if you cast cure and then start hitting tab it will toggle through any available targets for said spell.

    Hope that helps

Using the Up and down D-pad buttons on a controller will select each in turn from the list of members. Using Tab is awful compared to up/down d-pad or F-keys. IIRC (It's one of those "reflex controls" so I'm not sure) doesn't "0" on the keypad also do targetshift?

Ctrl/Alt-Macro + F-Key is fastest if you don't miss though.

If you switch the keyboard to "compact keyboard" in the config menu inside the game, you can cycle through targets. I don't remember the default key for it anymore. In misc 2, look at the movement keys, it's the "Menu/Target cursor" down/up commands.

Again, it only works while you have the game set to compact keyboard, so if you like using the numpad to control movement, it won't work.

I don't understand how what you're describing is any different (or easier) than just simply pressing the F-Key corresponding to each party member.

The only time being able to cycle through party members is really easier is when you're dealing with an alliance. Especially when you have people like "Masarutakeyoshi" in another group in your alliance (or other people with incredibly long names).

That said, I've only had one situation where I was the only healer for an alliance.

another quick tip for alliance, if you like full keyboard and have to hit someone with a long name: /ma "Spell" <a##> works.

<a10> = first name in the top alliance pt (usually that party's leader)
                <a11> = second name, etc.
<a15> = last (sixth) name in top alliance pt.
<a20> = first name in second alliance pt
                <a21> = second name, etc.
<a25> = last (sixth) name in second alliance pt.
<p0-5> = your pt. you are always <p0>.

rather than build 18 macros per spell. you can simply type: /ta <a##> and then hit your macro, or fully type the spell line. (ex: /ma "Cure IV" <a12>)

this is how I do it if the name of my target is longer than the 8 characters shown in the alliance window (meaning I can't just read how to spell their name onscreen), otherwise, it may be better to simply type their actual name (fewer chances for clerical error.)

                  There is a way, but I can't recal exactly how to do it >.>;;

You have to re-bind the keys to match those of pressing up and down on a controller. I did this a few months ago when I moved from playing on xbox to playing on my computer. A friend of mine walked me through it while chatting on AIM, but I believe I was half drunk at the time. Perhaps if someone here knows how to bind keys, they would be of more use than me.

If you use controller, pressing directional key up/down willl cycle your target through each party members. And alliance members. Pick up some cheap USB controller and see if you like it. I love it, some people hate it.

If my controller ever broke on this game, I would be able to do one thing: /logout.

Well not completely, lol, but I have such issues being able to control this game with just a keyboard alone that I would have to stop playing until I could get to Circuit City and get another controller. To this day I still can't move my character without my contoller.

That being said, I can't really help you out, but I happen to believe that this game is much easier to master if you have a controller. Logitech FTW!

Any controller that has at least as much buttons as PS2's will do.
                          directional key
                          2 analogue
                          4 buttons to the right
                          L1, L2, R1, R2
                          select, start?

You can also grab a PS2 <> USB converter from Radioshack if you already have a PS2 controller.

I'm not sure what kind of controller mine is by name - other than Logitech, but it has the same number of buttons as a PS2 and it's a wired one. You can get the wireless kind, but I don't like that the batteries sometimes run out right when I really need them the most. My husband has a wireless one, and they're the same thing except his is a *bit* heavier because of the batteries.
