    Since people commenting on Curaga...
At 15 you get Divine Seal which inceases the amount of your nexted heal spell.
So if your party gets really beat up after a fight.. instead of just throwing out cure's and cure 2's... It's more MP efficient to do Divine Seal then Curaga and you fix everybody up in no time.

I used to pop curagas in the jungle if I had the MP, but on the other hand, having the MP usually meant everyone was fine anyway and I was only curing for like 8 dmg a person. Not alot of hate from that.

Do remember that hate is related to how much HP is healed, not so much which cure spell is used. If you wait for your tank to get very very low on HP and nuke him with a high level cure, you will get hate and you will keep hate right through voke etc.

By contrast, if you 'nibble away' at the tank with cure 1, you'll be able to tell when he starts losing hate by the mob's attention fluctuating between him and you, and stop curing for a short time.

If you know how to download and use VRS, I am interested in being tutored.

Which is exactly why Regen is of such great use to WHM.^^ Because it cures a fair bit of HP over time, and doesn't build a ton of hate like curing that same amount of HP with a regular cure.

        Regen.

Tivul, sevenpointflaw has written a wonderful article, White Mage Overview. This should help you as you continue to gain levels in WHM.

Well, I mean, it can be done then if everyone is at full HP apart from the tank (obviously, when fighting mandys). As a WAR tank, I would not want a white mage to do that though as its hard enough keeping hate with just boost and provoke along with good damage.

I do hate it when others tell me how to do my job though. When I broke out the Great Axe in the early days of DRK people would have a hissy fit about it.. "OMG SCYTHE ND GS ONLY!!". Unknowing to them, great axe is like our "third" weapon, and is better than scythe and great sword at the early levels (better damage and sturmwind). It annoys me even further when they dont play the job, they just observe it and assume they know the score.

I'm personally a fan of hammer/shield, grilled hare and selbina milk for the first 11 levels. Dish it out on EP-DCs before moving to the dunes.

With protect on and milk going, you shouldn't have much of a problem. If you want to be enterprising (and you're in Windurst) you can buy a few stacks of Oranges from the vendor and level your cooking on Orange juice. Then use the juice while you level for never ending MP regen (until you have to synth more).

              Best advice I can give:

              - barspells are good. They diminish damage the party (and you) take.

              - keep buffs up.

              - Regen is godly at lower levels, even if it does seem to take a long time to cast.

Assuming you have no other mages, and thus 5 party members in melee range, Curaga still sucks for taking care of Dream Flower. It's safe to assume that at least the tank is going to get woken up by a hit, if not other melee. That leaves four people, and 8 * 4 is less MP than 60 at a level where you don't have that much MP to throw around. And if you do have other mages, Curaga just makes less and less sense for waking people up.

There is no rush. If you're not willing to take your time, don't be surprised when no one wants to give you much of theirs.

I never actually thought of the MP side to it, I guess you are right when it comes to that.
