  • New Effect on Benediction

Reading the updates I came across the line:

"Benediction will now remove all status effects"

Now here is my question. Does this include dead and weakened? I know that asking for it to cure dead might be asking for a little much, but should definatly cure weakened.

I haven't had anytime to play with it yet, and I plan on testing it after work today, but has anyone else had the chance to test this?

Now if they can only let us use benediction as an offencive weapon agaist undead >.>

It shouldn't remove Weakness, because that's there for a damn good reason.

But as a "2 HOUR ABILITY" assuming that you save it to use for that purpose. Once every 2 hours you can get rid of weakened. That really wouldn't unbalance anything. If would Make Dynamis a little let hectic.

Have the RDM Chainspell Raise Everyone. and Have the Whm Benedict and get back to doing what you were doing.

and the blip did say "all status effects" I guess it all boils down to, is weakened a status effect?

I don't know if it can be done but it would be very very cool. It may be a status effect but a special one..

i hope it does honestly, that will make WHM even more wanted in parties, which is what SE said they wanted to accomplish

if your tank died... your party cant move on, unless your WHM benediction's him

                Re: New Effect on Benediction

If it doesn't cure Weakness, then benidiction hasn't really changed at all. Blowing a 2hr to remove something that erase can remove is pointless. Removing something that erase can't remove... that's something worth noting. I go test it now.

                Double Post Edited:
And btw, the answer is no. I was curious so I took one for the team, RR2 myself, and used bendicition. Know what happened? Jack and crap. Now I'm left wondering how the hell is it that SE thinks we are going to be better healers? I mean, Divine Veil Erase every ten minutes, and Bendicition once every two hours? Cause that so tips the scales in our favor compared to other jobs.

Seriously, if they think other jobs main heal too much as is with the tools we already have, how is adding another tool (that we already have via a different means) going to help? Maybe if they added Erasega or Erasera or Eraserer or whatever the hell they would call it and we could use it consistantly, then it would make a difference.

But chicken feed won't do it. SE fails at life, today.

For those of you curious, Benidicition description has changed to say that it cures status ailments, and its not a "TaU update" as it were. It is supposed to be in affect already.

The change to bene is meh. I highly doubt it will remove weakness because that would be too beneficial and that is against everything SE stands for. LOL

I'm sure you can. It doesn't do anything about status before it goes off.

I've lost two hours to various effects before. Sucked cause I was DRG at the time, and my timer triggered but no wyvern. Also have lost Astral Flow to an AoE that interupted me before. Considering how fast the 2hrs are its highly improbable, but it -is- possible.

I see, that is so disapointing. We whm get shafted with everything.

our lvl 30 JSE ring is useless
our lvl 50 JSE Body Armor is garbage
our lvl 70 JSE Earing is useful for Maat, but thats about it
our lvl 60 Solo EMN reward is laughablely horrable.

when are we going to get something Usefull?
