    Re: New Effect on Benediction

Well, my guess is that still intend to give WHM the ability to give others thier own MP and HP. If thats the case, they probably just havn't finished working out the details. I don't know about anyone else, but at level 67 I've got over 1k MP. While I might not find HP gift useful, MP gift would be awesome with PLD in party. Slap on Haste, use MP gift, and poof. no need to refresh. PLD gets even more hate.

Anyhow, they prolly still working on it, adding what they did now because it wouldn't have any impact on the game really, and its an easy add because the mechanics are already there.

Stop portraying yourself as a victim.

I wasn't aware the Blessed set was useless.

The "level 30 JSE ring" (you mean level 50) is one of the more useful ones, as it only activates when you have hp to cure.
The level 50 body armour is a ballista favourite and great for solo play.
None of the level 70 JSE earrings are worth using.
Very few of the solo ENM rewards for any class are "strikingly good".

So you've forgotten all the minor tweaks the class has received? You've forgotten divine veil? Class specific clubs and armour for whm that want to try meleeing? Nashira gear? Our merits? (take a look at ninja merits and then complain) How fickle our memories are.

Well, at level 67 now, with BLM sub. I have a full +MP setup though. The only way I can get more that I know of is to get a serket ring and replace my astral with it. Admitedly though, I also use Marron Glace for food. My SMN is only 29, though I think I'd have over 1k with /smn if it was up to par. For some comparison, though, keep in mind I only have about 625 HP. I can only take two, sometimes three hits without stoneskin. There would be the downside of playing Taru.

Ok first off no need for attacks,

Second: I mean the Medicine Ring. it's useless, I thought it was 30 I could be wrong.

third: The lvl 50 Body(Nibus Dublet) Gives +1 Auto Regen. While it is true, I dont ballista,
ever. I dont see how this is usefull. The Holy breastplate, i feel, would be better for taking direct damage, or barring that the Crow/Raven Jupon is Still infitely better.

I didn't forget Divine Veil. Once every 10 min You can AoE remove a status effect... at the Expence of a really big cure. And it generates a lot of hate. Dont get me wrong, it's good. I love it.

Whm Specific clubs. The First one I ever got was the Darksteel maul. for the sole purpose of getting Hexa-strike. I never bought a single one before that.

Whm Spesific armor. First one was Holy Breastplate @ 40 Only bought it so I didn't have to look at Seer's Gear any more. Pure Orimentaion.
The nobles tunic @ 68 is arguably the best peice of whm gear you can get. and @ 15mil+ it's no wonder.
The bless gear is pretty good. But it is also lvl 70.

Nashira gear? Never Heard of it. It doesn't sound Whm exclusive though.

Merits. I am only lvl 65, I have a while to go till i think about merits. Cure Speed sounds good. Thats about all I would get. I dont know what Ninja can merit. Then get enough as is.

All I am saying is that I would like some usefull Whm JSE that I can use.

              Re: New Effect on Benediction

I don't see what all the sour grapes are. WHM got an upgrade, be happy about it instead of whining.

As for the status-removal effect not being useful, let me kindly disagree. While poison isn't all that nice to remove, being able to use Benediction to counter other nastier effects is nice:

AoE Drown effect from Fomor WS
Diabolos' AoE supersleep/Bio effects from CoP missions
              AoE Plague attack from Tiamat
AoE Petrification from scorpion pets in Dynamis
AoE Plague effect from various enemies in Promyvion
... and there are many more examples.

I'm more curious to see if it will remove Terror.

                  Re: New Effect on Benediction

I guess the real question becomes, how much stuff is there that cannot be removed with Divine Veil + Erase that can be with Bendicition, and how often will you encounter those affects?

                    - You can't cast Erase (lv32) in Promyvion, so having a last resort method to zap those offensive songs/plague effects is a big plus.

                    - You can't Erase some effects, such as Doom or Terror. If either or both of these can be removed by Benediction, that becomes a huge plus.

                    - Divine Veil + Erase only removes one effect at a time. Against Malboro type enemies like Capricious Cassie, having the ability to remove all negative effects at the same time is awfully handy.

So now we have a few places where it would be useful - especially those Promy runs, IMHO... But how often are they encountered? I see this being a great update for BCNM and Missions, but useless for the majority of the game (I.E. XP Parties).

Which. if you think about it, isn't a bad thing since it isn't XP parties where WHM are "broken."

IMO, this is great for Bones parties with WHM. You're CONSTANTLY low on MP. So if you're fighitng a Lemures, and the bitch uses an AoE Cursna, you dont' have to Divine Seal + Erase, then throw out a boatload of Curagas. Just hit bene, and keep on trucking.

You're looking at this from entirely the wrong angle.

This feature comes standard now with Benediction - we don't have to activate it, give up anything for it, or even think about it. It just happens, and it makes Benediction more powerful and more useful. So what if 95% of the time, the special effect doesn't help you in an XP party? How many times are you really using Benediction (or any 2 hour ability) in an XP party anyway?

It's there for the emergency use factor, and this change makes Benediction significantly stronger in those situations, particularly in HNM, BCNM, and Mission battles where you will be seeing lots of damage and lots of status effect attacks.

Hehe. Sorry if I came across as disagreeing with you. You said what I meant in a much better way. I meant to say it its an update target at a specific aspect of the game, and in that respect it is very much a useful update.

What happens when this is used on someone with hp down effect? Mainly thinking of the rams in lufeise meadows who do a massive hp down effect. I figure this will remove the status effect, but will the cure happen before or after the status effect is removed? Could be a very useful fix if it cures after.
