I'm a lvl 70 WHM... I never spent much time about my equipment.. So I am wondering if I should start doing that more.. I seen whms at my lvl wear Nobles gear or Blessed gear. I was thinking about saving up for the blessed gear since I am not very rich but do I really *need* to get all this gear? Do you think I am able to get away with using my AF till lvl 75? I know I sound lazy but when I hit lvl 75 whm I won't be on whm much unless I need to help out with something. I want to concentrate on my pld

Ouch! Tone down the bold/huge/colored fonts, please...

Depends on what you do once you hit level 75. For HNM/end game activities, AF version 1 is woefully inadequate for most things you'll be doing. If you're not into the HNM scene, then it doesn't really matter much what you wear.

Noble's/Aristocrat's Tunic is probably the strongest single piece of gear a WHM can wear though. Blessed Briault is nice, but lacks auto-refresh - I own both, and only use Blessed Briault for the max MP at the start of fights, or when casting Bar-element spells. WHM AF2 Cleric's Briault is nice, too - it has auto-refresh and Regen potency instead of cure potency, but if you're not playing WHM hard-core you're probably never going to see one.

        Re: Equipment

Icemage covered it well, since you're going to focus on another job, you really dont need any gear other than standard AF1. Depending on prices, you could piece together a stronger set by one or two Blessed pieces, Errant pieces etc. I personally would feel a Nobles Tunic would be wasted on my whm since I am using it only until I can get drg to 75, and even then whm will be situationaly only.

          Re: Equipment

WHM endgame gear is largely an ego contest between WHMs... Who cares if your cure V does 20 HP more than somebody elses with your expensive MND stuff when 95% of the time you cure them to full?

I can see the benefit of noble's tunic for WHM, since a 10% bonus on all cures is great...but it's fairly expensive. (Dropping fairly fast though, thanks to the tavnazian subligars :D) And, like Icemage and Battle Angel said...it doesn't really matter too much what you wear as WHM if you're just exping.

So long as you don't pull hate consistantly or run out of MP often, you're fine.

Grab errant gear at 73, its cheap and powerful. Outperforms blessed imo. Errant body's +5mph is more helpful than blessed's mp boosts. Additionaly, you can use your errant gear with many other mage jobs (works very well for rdm and brd too). So you can be adequately equiped without forking out a lot of money. Blessed is just to show off how much money people have to spend, much like healing staff.

              Re: Equipment

Blessed is still a good piece of armor, I use it at the beginning and switch it out to Errant (too poor for Nobles) after I've gone through the 7% of extra MP. It's also good for soloing/skilling up too since all the -STR/DEX/VIT can really mess you up if you're trying to hit anything. Also Blessed isn't really that expensive, it's certainly way cheaper than a Nobles is, and the extra 7% of MP is a huge amount.

Healing staff though, I agree is not worth the price.

o.O? How expensive is it now? I haven't checked the price lately - got my Healing Staff a loooong time ago before gilfarmers ever discovered Roc. It's a nice toy - very useful for 60-cap missions like Ultima/Omega. Other than that, Apollo Staff outperforms it for sure.
