I have no idea how a whm would take our Maat. How do you guys manage?

whm pass maat test by accumulating enough healing on themselves. You don't even need to attack maat as Whm.
Just stay alive, and heal yourself enough.

It's decently easy for most whitemages except perhaps tarus.

Like all Maat fights you will need to be equip somewhat a certain way, and use medicne. Nothing really special as long as we prepare for it.

Ate a Vit Med as well.
I only took 72 damage from maat's regular attacks. Won on first try. I was also silenced and forgot to bring echo drops too rofl.

Yeah it was quite funny, I was silenced and my hp dropped to 100, then I Benedictioned :p
Mr. Maat can bite my shiny-hiney.

Beat it within 2 seconds of limit.

After redoing the maat fight a couple times post 70 I'm beginning to suspect it is more a matter of surviving a certain amount of time in combat against him than a cure amount. This last time I won and hadn't cast a cure in 20 seconds. I had actually casted very little the whole fight because I was using regens and stoneskins.

Anyway, easy way to beat him is just stay alive.

It's definitely one of the more easy Maat fights, from what I've gathered. I did it at Lv66 with no real difficulty, I'm sure many many others have too.

Most whm's float around 8mins, but some have said as low as 5mins. So no clue.

I think Maat gave up on frustration for me.

Terra staff+ bat earrings/eva stuff + blind potion, on and standard jse ring. I had capped eva so Maat pick the wrong mode to Asuran fist me.

It's probably even easier now with the blessed set, with all that haste @.@

I wonder if it could be damage taken, or in your case damage that should have been taken. Things like stoneskin and whatever regen repairs etc. could be counted as damage taken.
I don't know, just a thought.
Is it even possible for a whm to beat Maat by kicking the crap outta him?

I went the melee route.

Buffed up before engaging, of course. Diaga to wipe his Blink, Holy to wipe his Stoneskin, then hit him with Paralyze and Slow.

Beat on him a bit for TP. Got him down to about 2/3 life while doing so.

Stuck him with a Dia II, then Black Halo->Icarus Wing->Hexa Strike. The Light skillchain did enough damage that he gave up -- he didn't even have a chance to use Benediction.

Then again, I was level 75 when I fought him, so I kinda cheated a bit.

ok to be honest, i went the tanking route. buy stack of echo drops, stack of muslums, 5 yag drinks, vile elixir, vile elixir +1, tav. taco, rest of available inventory with hi-potions

i used empress hairpin, nobles tunic, and light gauntlets, and af pants/feet. wore 2 phanalx rings, medicine earring, drone earring, fortune egg, survival belt, cheviot cape, and had earth staff. (some of the gear i borrowed for a friend)

entered bcnm, buffed to full, ate food, used rink, used regen 3, and pulled with slow.

1. don't cure status ailments other than paralyze and silence
2. use cure 2, cure 3, and if in emergencies cure 5
3. if you're low on mp and out of vile elixirs use hi-potions
4. when stoneskin goes down, use flash
5. haste cuts down recast timers of both stoneskin and flash.
6. starting at the 8 minute mark after entering bcnm, maat will begin spamming weaponskills.
7. maat is totally random. damage taken can range from as low as 2k to as high as 7k.

how can you guys stand those kinds of fights for 10 mins? my first fight was with nin. 1:58 an maat gave up. i cant see doing it for another 8 mins.
