Agreed. It's noticeable for sure, but double damage it is not.

That site says it is a 50% (Banish1 and Banishga, duration 12 sec) and 75%(Banish2 and Banishga2, duration 20 sec) reduction of the skeletons and ghosts special dmg reduction. Not a straight 50% and 75% reduction in defence stat. It also doesn't even have banish 3, so it is fairly old (no date included). That is far more reasonable, but I'm skeptical as to how they would have found this.

I don't think you're reading the page correctly. Babelfish shows me that what it does do is cut the normal "bonus resistance" that skeletons and ghosts get by half; it does not lower their overall defense by 50%.

I'm also pretty dubious of the effect duration. I don't think I've ever seen Banish or Banish II's effect last more than a handful of seconds against XP-worthy enemies, so unless there's a resistance formula to cut the effect duration, I'm not buying those 12 and 20 second duration claims either.

Should also note that Banish III is not mentioned on that page at all.

Not that it matters much but I have noticed that banish will eat all of your targets shadows. That is usually helpfull

Shadows eat banish (or any single target spell) unless you are casting banishga (or any aoe spell).
