    Re: WHM for fun?

BRD is also a wonderful way of kissing your precious inventory space goodbye.

Anyway, WHM... can be fun, but you probably won't have it in an experience party. It's similiar to RDM in the sense that both jobs are best enjoyed when you aren't grinding experience. WHM is more of a "lack of un-fun" job - you don't really notice the perks until you play without them, but having all the teleports on you, being able to naspell, reraise, sneak and invis... all these things you can quickly take for granted when you level it. Having a high level WHM significantly reduces the "un-fun" aspects of the game.

BLM is definitely more fun in an experience party - the problem is that high level black mages are definitely not in short supply amongst NAs. But since you can solve 99% of the problems in this game by throwing enough black mages at it, I'd say BLM would definitely be more useful for most missions as its sheer firepower can be a substitute for actual skill. (Example: Ouryu with a "normal party" takes some effort, skill and preparation. Ouryu with 6 black mages takes all of the ability to press 3 macros.)

Yes, I do have the opinion that Black mages are horribly overpowered and pretty much nothing will ever change this until Square-Enix stops being silly and finally gives White Mages "Reflect". (It's in the game code, for goodness' sakes!)
I believe most sigs are like the people they represent - useless, loud and obnoxious.

      This is SO true. LOL!

As for Reflect, I finally ran into the enemy that has that spell (or a variant). One of the Jailers in The Garden of Ru'hmet (I can't remember which offhand at the moment) instantly reflects any spell you cast back at you, at lightning speed.

I'm not sure I'd want the spell as a WHM, though it'd be funny to see someone Reflect Angra Mainyu's Death spell in Dynamis-Beaucedine Glacier. Most of the time, I don't want to be the target of a spell as a WHM, so unless the spell can be used to protect other party members, it'd probably see very little use outside of the occasional solo work.
