WHM for fun?

Okay my main Job is THF its almost 55 atm (2k tnl). I already figured out i can do very less cop missions, bcnm etc. with it wich is really sady. do you guys think that levelign WHM for missions and stuff is worth this? I mean i think white mage could be fun thats np for me.

i dont rightly know ive always had whm at low levels with my characters, however it is a fund-sucking investment, by the way nice avatar.

well a Lv. 73 Friend said its not that expensive except a few speels like Erase for 300k but thats not really a problem

37 whm is very useful to have for anyone regardless of their main. Going to 37 is cheap and you could skip on erase if you want. If you don't mind lvling it, you should try it.

WHM is one of the cheapest jobs around, and especially with a THF55 you'll be able to fund it no problems.

As for fun, if you like action then you may not be interested in WHM. Essentially XPing is just healing people for 75 levels, of course there's a method to doing it efficiently, discovering that is part of the fun.

Or why not lvl up nin? You have it partially lvled already and your familiar with playing it. If I were in your shoes, thats the way I would go.

i was also thinking about BLM..

purpose of leveling one of these jobs are BCNM, cop missions, roz missions etc.

thf cant do much of that stuff

Well whatever job you do choose, make sure you dedicate yourself to doing it right. I've pt'd with too many people that show up in fishing gear and don't have spells that they need because "all this job is for is missions and bcnm's, I don't want to stick a lot of gil into it." I will no longer pt with people like that, I just excuse myself from the pt.

Roflwaffle XD Anyways, I agree that WHM is pretty cheap, due to the fact that you can get through the game on mostly 2 sets of armor, the seer's set, and AF. The only other costs are food (depending on what you use is cheap or expensive), Electrum set (like 60k depending on server status), and t3h st4v35 of 1337ness.

Well I don't know what crappy whm's you pt'd with but I had new equips every 10 lvls. My clubs were always the +1 variety until I started to carry the staves at 51. I'm not saying that whm isn't one of the easier jobs on the pocketbook but I in no way found that it was "cheap".

I think they mean it here as being more relative than out and out cheap. I'm not sure there is a job, if played right, that is truly cheap. Every job is as cheap you want it to be. Want to totally gimp yourself and be ineffective? Then you can do it at any job you want. Just never buy new armor or weapons, ignore 90% of your spells and never buy food.
Hell, I could play rng cheap if I wanted. NQ everything, use iron arrows from vendor; play ninja as DD, and never use any ninjitsu, though that is really likely to get you booted from a party fast enough to make your head spin.
I think 90% of bard's songs are cheap, but you want the HQ instruments to give the +skill, so there's your money on that one. Other mages have fairly espensive equipment, but the select high priced spells really make it cost more, though a lot of times, those few spells are why people like the job. Besides being a refresh whore, RDM are loved for dispel.

Bard is pretty inexpensive for the essential stuff (including HQ instruments, which I consider to be essential.. but even so, you're only looking at less than 1 million gil total for every +2 HQ instrument in the game except Harlequin Horn and the relic), most of which never see any use anyway.

WHM is slightly more expensive, but not so you'd notice; again, you can get by with pretty cheap gear until level 51 and elemental staves, as nothing really stands up and screams "Buy Me Or You Suck!" until then.. and even then you really only need two; light and dark. After that, the big ticket items don't show up until level 59+ with Vermillion Cloak, which you could also live without, but is *extremely* nice to have.

I don't consider any job other than Ninja or Ranger to be above average in cost, however.
