Stoneskin is incredibly helpful even with good tanks. The nullification of aoe hits and dot is very handy at preventing the interrupting of rest ticks. It really shines in bcnms and hnm fights.

That's why you stand back. If you still get hit with AOE, you're not back far enough.

Sometimes aoe ranges are extremely large. In ZM16 I was too far to cast any cures but yet I was still in aoe range. Stoneskin and Blink were a saving grace. Running up to the tank and melee in the middle of a fight to do a bar spell, again stoneskin and blink are a great assest.

It all depends on the party. You could be exping on flies in boyada, the blm pulls hate on the mb, and boom you get hit with an aoe. A common case I have ran into 70+ is in King Rap's Tomb with mobile parties. The party is constantly on the move and you will find yourself trying to rest within aoe range on more than one occasion or cramped in space because of pops around you. It isn't needed all the time, but there are times it is quite helpful during exp. During dynamsis/hnm, the use should be obvious as anyone can pull hate at most anytime when you aren't expecting it, stoneskin is the difference between death and having 100 hp left.

Stoneskin, Phalanx, Blink, and wearing an Earth Staff... tank a exp monster for a good 40 seconds.

yea i agree.. i ahvent played with that many good tanks.. so thoese spells def saved my life alot.. most of them thought hitting the monster with provoke once was good enough -_- but well that was in the dunes.. and kahzam (sp) and i would get lucky and end up with a really good tank and i wouldnt get agro at all ^^ yay nins.
