WhiteMage /slap Do you need it?

I have come across a couple rude WHMs on Midgardsormr as of lately and wondering if other servers are having the same thing with the Teleport pirces going up.

The other day i was in Jeuno and needed a teleport out so i did a shout "Teleport-Dem Can I Have It?" and i was invited to a party. I was running pretty low on cash and was off to go farming so i only traded the WHM 500gil where i usually give em 1-3k. I accepted and noticed that the WHM didn't. I said "accept" and the WHM replied "750gil" i thought maby he thought i wanted an altep so i said No i need dem 500gil. He replied dem? 750gil please. I was pissd and disband and made another shout and was accepted by another WHM and got my tele and tipd that WHM 5k

Yesterday i ran into 2 WHMs.
The first was an invite i got when i asked for a teleport-vazhl and when i traded to the WHM i gave him 2k the WHM just sat there and i said "what?" the WHM said "Is that really all your giving me? you dont have to be cheap" I kinda left right away never gave em his gil and got a friend to tele me.

Later on yesterday i asked for a teleport to Mea and was once again invited to party. I gave the WHM 1k and we teled. But when we got to the crag he sat there and straight up asked me "Can i have a tip?" i said yeah go play WoW... Who asked for a tip from a tele . . .

Anyhooo yeah thats my luck with WHMs XD

Seriously, I only expect 1k for the non-crag teles and 500 for the crags - I just don't typically respond to shouts for crag teles. Then again, I don't farm teleports much - too slow for my liking - and not always fun to sit around in Lower Jeuno.

As for asking for a tip, I'd only do that if someone sent a /tell to me asking for a tele when I'm doing something else - and even then only if I'm not in a generous mood.

Occasionally you get really nice ppl, that pay you 5k for waiting for them, or pay you 10k NOT to teleport a specific person ^^ Wouldn't mind there being more of those ppl.

Yeah the only thing ive seen on my server (pande) where...no WHM...i saw people looking for a tele for like an hour before...

I'm on Midgard and I charge all the usual prices. If someone happens to give me more SWEET! I was paid 10k once and twice 5k which made me a very happy whm! LOL

But just as whm's may be annoying asking for more, I can't tell you how many rude people I've run into. A well known RICH botter on my server didn't want to pay for his tele. His pt, that I was tele'ing, gave him hell for it. So he trades me 200 gil. I canceled and chastized him so he finally paid the 500 gil. My goodness...500 freakin gil...give me a break! You don't know how many people try to get free tele's or want to pay discounted prices. I'm lucky if I make 10k an hour doing tele's, please don't try and cheat the whm's.

Frankly... i wont pay anymore than 500 for a crag tele and 1k for non. Its rediculus... You're losing MP... THAT'S IT! I can understand if you're doing something, but if you're just sitting in Jeuno doing nothing, dont complain... You just made 500-1000 gil for pressing 3 buttons.

On Quetz most of the crags are 1k now. Altep and Vahzel are usually 1.5-2k.

Whm is losing time to save you time. Time is money in this game. 300-400% Inflation has occured on the vast majority of the items in the game, yet teles are still 500-1kgil... :sweat: Its shocking the price hasn't gone up higher.

My prices

I am a whm on midgard my prices are adverage 500g holla,mea,dem 700 yagathor<sp>, and altep and 1k for vazhl.
The tele price inflation Its due to the price of r3 and other pricey spells being jacked up. (most ppl just wine about not haveing the gil)
Thank goodness i dont need to get r3 yet.
I believe in quanty and a mixture of quality. I charge adverage prices when ppl need it most aka when 0 whm avil except me ive gotten lots of gil just for being on at the right time
I don't play much so i cant really say much anymore.

My time is valuable. When I tele, I make on average 10k an hour. I'm not able to farm efficiently so thats out. I actually tried it and was lucky if I could make 10k an hour. So tele'ing was the best option for me at that time. Yes I can craft but remember it takes money to make money. So making money tele'ing to build up crafting is a good way to go for some. I love how people think a whm gets rich doing tele's. Not everyone can be on at peak times to get the hours with the most tele's. And if they can be on, they will have competition. It's not as lucrative as everyone thinks. And dealing with the A-holes that whine about paying, underpay, or make you wait 15 minutes while they buy stuff from the ah and get signet....ya tele'ing is much more than a push of a damn button.

On Odin, teleports are very scarce as of late, and it's not all that surprising. The price for equipment, food, etc has all gone up dramatically. The standard 500/1000 gil teleports just isn't worth a white mages time anymore. I find it amazing most people don't understand this.

White Mage teleporting is indeed on the decline. Expect it to die out from here on unless prices are raised.

Even I thought I'd be able to keep teleporting for a decent income, but inflation has just changed the price of "needs" so much, and White Mage teleports are among the few things that have remained constant in price since they first came about years ago.

Ever since I took off from leveling WHM, I've realized how hard it is to be living on the other side; needing a teleport and not finding any WHMs offering them, even in Jeuno. However, it is even harder for a WHM, probably the worst job at farming, to make a living off Teleports these days. I know one person can't make a difference, but I've made it a point to start paying 1500-2000 gil for basic teleports and 2500-3000 for advanced teleports. Personally, I see that as a pricing structure which can save financially-lacking White Mages.

yea i've seen shouts offering 10k before.

I like to look at teleports as a mean to help other players. It's fair to reward the Whm but to *request* money is a little too much imo.

I usually do not go out of my way to teleport, i would only teleport if i am not currently busy and my homepoint is at the current city or town. I usually take whatever they give me so long as its reasonable. I do not charge a specific price, i just let them give me whatever if i ever do it..which is rare these days since 500gil is like...just..kinda worthless compared to what it was before.

I have taken 500-5K for a teleport before, but i never ever put out a price, they just give it to me. Usually i get the higher end because if they /tell me needing for a teleport, it usually means /shouting did not work and they had to search for me. Reason i dont tele like i said, its just not worth my time anymore with old prices although i do accept them anyway.
