It's not *hard* to do teleports. It's just not worth the time or effort. Casting Teleport and Warp isn't the problem, it's waiting around for people to be "ready to go".

Only time I ever teleport people nowadays is for friends who need to get somewhere on a lower level job or when time is at a premium.

I think S-E finally realized how silly it was to have players running around offering teleports as a service, since they've introduced tons of new ways to get around (teleport rings, warp weapons, outposts) that remove much of the need for teleportation, and I'm just as happy to see most of the teleportation shouts go away.

Outpost warp prices are a drop in the bucket - you'd spend as much or more paying someone to teletaxi you anyway most of the time, unless you're trying to get to someplace like Cape Teriggan (but if you're doing that, you're undoubtedly level 70+ and have the financial means to handle a 3K hit to your pocketbook without breaking a sweat).

You can take your 500 gil and shove it where the sun doesn't shine when stuff like Vermillion Cloak costs 19,000,000 gil.

Why yes I have done MORE than my fair share of tele's. In fact, it was how I made the majority of money for Erase. So I can say that tele'ing people on a regular basis is a royal pain in the ass.

People who don't want to pay, people who want a discount, people that need to get signet after they are already standing next to you and your in the middle of casting, people that need food and spend 10 mins at the ah, people that need to change equips and take 10 mins, people that ask for a Tele X and you give them a Tele X except they really want a Tele Y and proceed to yell at you for taking them to the wrong tele even though your log states Tele X, tele'ing 3 or more people in the same group and one comes up by you and starts yelling at the others to hurry up and when the 2nd one comes the 1st one that was yelling goes "Oh I need signet"so he runs off and then the 3rd one comes and the 2nd one says "Oh I need food" so off he runs and then the 1st one comes back and the 3rd one goes I need signet AND food so he runs off and then the 2nd one comes back and low and behold 15-20 mins later so does the 3rd one and then the 1st one says "You aren't going as pld/thf are you?" to the 2nd one and he goes SHIT and runs off to the mh to change his sub,..............I could go on and on and on....

If you don't run into this crap then bully for you! But I think a great many whm's know exactly what I am talking about.

the only time i tele people is if i'm already headed there myself. if i'm about to tele-mea myself, i'll grab a couple people shouting for tele's and drop them off on my way. usually i do it for free, too. and yes, those thoughtless jerks who go grab signet/wait-i-gotta-stop-at-the-ah-and-then-mule-bounce-can-you-hold-on-please people reeeeeally get on my nerves too >.>

teleing for money just doesn't pay well. i have a high level thief, as well as two crafts levelled to 48+. i don't need to tele for pennies.

not at all. however thegrandmom puts it in one perspective, that goes rampant.

one person in my party got one of his/her friends to tele us and did something like that >.>

i've seen it in a few other instances as well, but not in "my" tele taxi's since i've done so few and mainly just friends & LS members.

IceMage and others bring up the other point. You all jack up the prices on stuff you expect/demand whm's to have (Erase went for 250k then jacked up to 750k in 1 or 2 days) yet you expect whm's to provide a service to take time out of thier lives, 1-20 min (depending on group) to save you time, and you demand they do it for the same pititance?

when i was on last night, somone was offering tele's and had a 499gil "/tell" or "invite" fee, i don't remember which, it was late.

too good to waste your 1k getting for a tele? go catch that 5k chocobo, that should make you happy.

i'm a WHM also, in Remora i even been talking to fellow teleporters to jack up the price to 5k crag and 10k non crag
though i get the lame excuse that people won't take teleports then LMAO
let them not take teleports then
i mean they pay the same gil for it anyway, just takes them longer to get to a place
or the good old excuse i havn't done any supply quests lol

though for some outpost warps you do need to be high enough in level to get there
Dunes: lvl 20 or above
Terrigan: don't know though at lvl 62 i coudn't get a outpost warp there and yes i have done the supply quests to all the outposts except for the ones connected to Bastok and Windurst, god i want those so badly

you can but imagine you are sending gil or item though mog send and u key the wrong name like this and the gil/item may just go to Palin222 XD instead of Palin2222.
Then you will learn not to type or spell wrong on the name part which is 1 of the most important.
