    so its not just 10 min. recast ne more?

    Just consider me the noob of this thread lol
    What the person was saying is that for each merit point put into Divine Seal Recast would reduce the Recast time by 20 seconds.

    So the Recast time originally being 10 min. with 1 merit point in it then becomes 9 min. 40 sec., with 5 in it then it's 9 min., and so on.

    EDIT:

    So if you were able to put 50 points into one things then that means you could eliminate the Divine Seal Recast time. So each time used it's usable right after again, but that of course you can't do.

    BTW, what is the limit you can put of merit points into traits/abilities?

      Currently, 5.

      Things that used to be 5 are now 7 since the patch.

      Glancing through the menus and crunching a few numbers, putting 5 points into something often equals approximatly a 10% change in the effect or timer.

        Does anyone notice getting more hate when using divine seal + erase now? The WHM in my party was doing that to 6 people last night with Erase and grabbing hate each time. We didn't have a very good tank, but still you don't think Erase to take hate. Anyone notice more hate with it?

          Done it a few times, before the PLD should have established enough hate also...never pulled hate once.

            I would think that logically the hate Erase generates depends on what you have erased. If you've erased an effect that is the most damaging to the person's performance, I would think it will get more hate then erasing something that only causes a minor annoyance.

            So in respect to that if you erased something that's a minor annoyance from all members in the party then you probably won't generate enough hate to be targeted. However if you were to erase something that is the most damaging from all members it would probably get you enough hate to be targeted.

            EDIT:

            Could possibly also be how many members that it actually erases something from them as well.

            Yes, I had also noticed that from what I hear about the merit points (Still got to get lv. 75). The one thing this game definatly does is if you want to see an effect from something you have to really focus on it getting a good amount otherwise the benefit is almost unnoticable.

              Erasega is nice, but lately I've been fighting a lot of stuff that tosses AoE Plague, and believe you me, Virunaga = win. Not having to spend 48MP per party member is like manna from heaven. Also handy for Silenaga when fighting Anticans.

                Just to be clear, Divine Seal and Divine Veil are 2 different abilities correct?

                My impression was that they are used seperately, for different things. Divine seal is the same as it was, with 10:00 recast time. Divine Veil allows a status cure but AOE and has a 10:00 recast. That being said, lets say all your party members were cursed.

                Divine Veil -> Cursna-ga
                Divine Seal -> Curaga 2
                = everyone back to normal again...

                Is this how it works?

                All we need then is a similar trait for RDM to allow refresh-ga. ^^

                  no divine veil is a job Trait (passive) which AFFECTS Divine seal.

                  AKA

                  Divine Seal --> Erase(ga)

                  Wait 10 mins before another divine seal usage.

                    Oh, its a trait? I thought it was an actual job ability. Still useful either way, just would have been cooler as a Job Ability, although perhaps overpowered.

                          No, only spells that remove status ailments.

                            I'm sorry please check your math, 5 points is 1 minute 40 seconds. There are 60 seconds in a minute and thus you only need to put in 3 points to take 1 minute off.

                              I've leveled WHM recently and erase-ga (when erasing about 5-6 people) definitely generates more hate than when it was just 1-3 people. Doesn't seem to rely on the spell, just the number of people.
