65 Farming: Gear and WS

Hi guys

I was wondering what most level 65 WHMs use to farm gear wise.

As in do you specifically go for Attack? Perhaps STR? MND? Or whatever stats that are calculated when you trigger your WS.

I'm not asking for the spots. Just wondering what most lvl 65 WHMs wear when they farm (club, shield, armor..etc)

I've just always used AF armor, Darksteel Maul, MP+ Jewellery, Empowering Mantle and a Life Belt for the extra Accuracy. At Lv65 you don't have Hexa Strike, so the next best thing is Judgement or True Strike, depending on what you're farming (and if you're farming Elementals then Seraph Strike is probably the best WS to use).

I've thought about experimenting with +STR +Acc +DEX etc gear for farming but there's so little available for WHM, that at the end of the day AF is better.

When it comes down to it, for farming, the best you can do is THF sub and Hexa Strike or go level another job, preferably THF.

Not a single WHM I know farms for income at level 65+. WHM damage output is far too low to be effective, even with Hexa Strike.

Fortunately, there are many other ways to make money. I fish, craft, and do the odd BCNM for the majority of my income, and consider myself pretty well-off, as far as money goes. Many mages I know pick up chocobo digging, gardening, or mining as a source of income, as well.

Well the thing is this WHM friend of mine like to farm for her own materials, which is why I was asking. Thanks for the heads up though Icemage.

Just out of curiosity....what do you think of using Staffs for farming? I'm not really sure about this cause RDMs can't really use Staff WS, but say if a WHM did have staff skill at 200 would it be effective at all?

No, I think its safe to say that Club WSs are a hundred times better than Staff ones.

depends, at lvl 70, if your staff skill is capped, you will have spirit taker as whm, which is the best staff skill in the game by far. you could use that if you wish, but your damage output will still be far less than with hexa.
