I was reading through a korean FFXI forum, and there spoke a taru. He said that he tanks quite often, of course, just for fun though. However, these seem quite efficient.

WHM/NIN. He borrows a Kraken Club from his friend very often, and uses another high-dmg value Club. He spams Hexa Strike. Also uses Utsu:Ni-Ichi, Stoneskin, and Blink to reduce damage taken. Makes most uses out of Cures, Banishes, and etc to gain hate. Of course, this isn't prime tanking for HNM mobs and EXP PTs, but wouldn't it be great to see this in action? o-o

WHM/WAR. Defending Ring (originally for his PLD), Earth Staff, Jelly Ring, Medicine Ring. That's -65% physical damage taken. Bust stuff out with your Provoke, Defender, Stoneskin/Blink, etc and wow.

Seemed pretty amazing to me, just wanted to share it with you guys. =)

Hey they made NIN/BLM work....it's just not conventional.

I tanked Phantom worm while doing it with another WHM and a THF.

I was WHM74/NIN37, other WHM74/BLM/37, and THF71/35

first WHM would flash it and other THF would trick it to me.

Flash didn't seem to work well on Phantom worm since it consistantly hit through Flash so it was hard. And when blink was down either by his attacks or aoes he hit like a train, well over 100 damage. It was exciting though

A WHM in my LS, Kaedin, liked to tank avatars such as Leviathan, Ifrit and Ramuh. Unfortunately he died every time, but it was some good fun. He went as WHM/WAR ^^

I tanked ZM12 the other day, I didn't die but it got close. Reason was since our tank decided to go camp Ose instead so we were WHM WHM DRK DRG SMN BLM :spin:
