There's been this level 55ish group in Kuftal over the last few days, they have a white mage whose name is "Whottont" and every 15 seconds, he'll spam a /say comment going "my name is Whottont"(which I find freaking annoying but I don't like to blacklist people either). They try to kill lizards and crabs but they're very bad at it. So one day I see a level 75 party in Gustav and no surprise, Guivre pops 10 seconds later and promptly eats the entire party. Whereupon they start spamming me for raise requests (I don't go anon cause I like to help people) and demand raise 2, which I oblige with. I tell them that you need to cast sneak and invis and suddenly it becomes apparent that only 2 of the people in that party move at any one time - it's 2 people on 6 computers. And they all get eaten again, no surprise, and start spamming me for more raise requests.
I raise a random level 65+ NA summoner, he tells me to raise a friend, I go find him and run across a dark knight first. I don't know his level and don't like to check people, so I ask the DRK what level he is in BOTH japanese and english. No reply. So I tractortractortractorraise 3 the dark knight, the dark knight doesn't acknowledge my existence and runs off. And then I find that the smn's friend just hped and guivre has eaten the smn again. And one member from the NA party is spamming me for a third raise 2 (he died for the third time).
The worst part of the entire mess was that they HAD a white mage (Whottont) and I raised 2ed the white mage only to have them expect me to raise 2 their entire party since the WHM was only level 54. I oblige but I make the fatal mistake of alternating with Raise 3 because I want to reduce downtime since Raise 2 has a stupid cooldown. 1 member starts demanding Raise 3 instead, but I only have enough MP for raise 2 and a sneak/invis left, so I tell him Raise 3 won't work and throw him Raise 2, which he doesn't accept, completely wasting my mp. At this point, I tell them I have a life to get back to, escape out ASAP and stick on /anon. The best part? That person who refused raise 2 starts swearing and threatens to call a GM on me, and I get tells from the RDM asking for YET another raise. Since when did casting a lower level raise on someone become a violation of the ToS? =_=;
If you wanted to play whm to help people, It's frankly not worth it.
