Meh, I wouldnt go as far as saying "the defining spell" IMO. I'll say its something that we need to have yes. Right now, Im at 71 and have not bought it yet, because I refuse to pay someone 460-500k on a spell that they would either now, or in time demand a WHM to cast on them. I will be doing the BC w/some fellow members of my LS to get this one. Just 2 weeks ago it was sitting at 250k, high, but reasonable I suppose. To jump in price as much as it has is a slap in the face to all WHMs. It may sound silly, and assanine, but I've complied a list of those who feel they can make a "quick buck" off the WHM community, if I ever come across one of these jokers and they need a raise, it'll be " [Raise III] [You can have this] 400k gil!

is it me, or am i the only one who thinks this is rediculous? after this bunch of b.s.

i wouldnt be shocked if the next time i got a raise2 it came with a price tag.. thanks alot all you greedy little bastards.. now the whm are gonna revolt an charge us :mad:

Some of them have been doing that since they hit lvl 25. The ones that haven't, never will.

On Siren at last check it was sitting around the 400K mark. However the price is in flux ATM and ranges between 300K and 500K.

I don't have Raise III either. Not going to pay 500K for a spell to raise the very people that tried to suck 500K out of me. After all me buying Raise III won't do ME any good.

Raise 3 is basically the difference between being able to do Dynamis and HNM and all that fun stuff, and not being able to do them.

Not having Raise III at level 70+ can and will get you a very, very bad reputation in a screaming hurry, so high level WHM beware.

There are very, VERY few people to party with at the 70-74 stretch, and you get to know almost everyone in your range pretty well during that stint. If you get tagged as "that cheap WHM who doesn't have Raise III"... well, all I can say is I hope you like staying at level 70...

I don't like how we are forced to pay exorbitant prices for spells that don't do anything for us directly, but if you think Raise III doesn't help you indirectly, you're deluding yourself. For what it's worth though, because of the price gouging (and let's not sugar-coat it, that is exactly what is happening), I think it is totally appropriate to refuse to Raise anyone known to jack up the price on Raise III.

Very True.

I quit WHM now anyway. Once I hit 70 my motivation seemed to evaporate.

Lv. 70 Raise III - 250k to 2million depending on server.

Lv. 75 Reraise III- About 10k on Ragnarok. That's the spell that'll help you out. If you run into a person who jacks up the prices...tell them all you have is Raise I because the prices are too high on raise II/III.

Well I bit the bullet and purchased this spell for a lovely 700K. I mainly use it on dead people below level 30 just to see the look on their little faces.

Oh and its up past 1.2M on Siren now.

Right now it's hovering between 2 million and 2.5 million. The last sale was 2 million, the two before that 2.5 million and the one before that 2 million. There are four up for sale and they've been there for a while.

This can be a good sign. It can mean that WHMs are either just biting the bullet and going to do the BC themselves, or everyone else has noticed how expensive Raise III is now and doing the BC a lot more.

I'm not too worried about this. As slow as I level, it'll be awhile before I need to purchase it, but 3 mil is ridiculas. All I can say is for every action there is an a reaction.

I don't really brows alla much (for obvious reasons), but this is an interesting post. I've haven't actually done the taxi thing yet, however I'm glad to see some WHMs taking a stand against this BS. Sadly, though, the reason for the the price hikes are because gil-sellers certain items which in turn cause people to try and make up the difference by raising the price of other items. Who knows how this is all going to end? Despite people's best hopes, I doubt the gil-sellers will ever be gone completely, and, so far, S-E's efforts to quell them have failed (the only good thing their updates really did was save people who needed Oztroja coffers). I try to look at this economically and hope that eventually something there will be some sort of roof hit and the market will destabalize, causing prices to fall across the board, but, sadly, that doesn't look like it's going to happen anytime soon.
