I didn't blist him, he kept shrieking at me for another 20 minutes which I thought was pretty hilarious.
I don't PL. My husband started playing months after I did and I didn't even PL him. He didn't want it anyway, but I don't think anyone who hasn't even unlocked advanced jobs has any business getting any sort of free ride in this game. There's too much to learn.Comment

I'm not quite understanding why someone would ask for a PL at low level though, or think that because I have a capped job I'm being an ass for not helping them. I capped my job w/o PL'ing, it's not that hard >.>The beast myth: "I hear it gets better next level"

The impression I've gotten from anyone who has bugged me for a PL is that they're about 12 years old and want to catch up to their other 12 year old friends as fast as possible. These are the same kids who are going to switch to pld or drk at 30 and don't bother leveling their subs and use polearms and 1h swords on their warriors.Comment

one time i was leveling in ru'avitau and i got a /tell asking for a pl...
i got incredibly pissed and i said "there is no f***ing way i'm leaving my exp party to pl your sorry lazy ass in the f***ing dunes! get bent jackass! if you can't play the game without a pl DON'T PLAY THE GAME!"
of course he responded with a menagerie of obscenities but it's not like high level players have an obligation to pl low level players. if there is, it's news to me and i'm going to shoot the guy that made it so.

Thing is, people are willing to climb the ladder too fast. Know what I mean?
They only want to level, that's all that goes into those small brains.
I never got a pl in all my Vana Diel life, yet look where I am? FFS, I have all avatars, got them at 63... Yes, had to build up fame to get them. Why can't they do it too? Makes me kind of mad.
I have friends that are 73 and are rank 5 still... cuz once they get the airship pass, they give up on doing missions, and all their time is spent leveling.
I do missions, I do quests, why can't they do it too? :mad:

All I can say is that do what you feel is right. I mean, theres a wierd tradeoff, cause before 30, its impossible for a WHM to go LFG for more than 10 mins. After that, it'll take a bit longer, cause all your friends leave to lvl their Advance jobs.
In fact, a lvl 40+ WHM friend of mine told me that its not hard to get a PT invite, but its hard to get an invite to a good party.
With that said, should you be wasting time pling someone? I pled a LS friend, cause i wanted to get his Bard up to the lowbie-static we st up. I guess that was ok, at least I know i have someone to depend on.
But WHY, when i'm on a chocobo, and I pass ppl in Valk, and my Search comment says that I am going to San'doria/Bastok - do ppl still /tell me asking for a PL? I mean.... ;__; there are still things i cantaru take on in the dunes. Why would I risk my neck?The Tao of Ren

They ask you for the same reason that people send me exp group invites when I have the Red search comment active (Missions/Quests) and have 5 different missions listed that I'm interested in clearing (Bastok 7-1, ZM6, and all three of the starting Promyvions), but no mention whatsoever of my tnl or that I'm interested in an exp party.

As for PL, no response on first tell, if more tells come, you can try to autotranslate threats..There is no knowledge without experience.

I really really dont understand people, whenever i have no anon flag(but i put search comment no PT wanted dont wanna be botered....etc), i still get them and plvl requests...i really dont want to go all the way out there just to mindlessly spam Cure...most low lvl people have no manners. Its super rude to just get a random tell out of NOWHERE asking for a plvl in AOL speak.

WTF? >< If your going to ask at the LEAST use a full sentence..-_- Also when i go AFK without putting /anon flag and wake up in the morning to check my bazaar before going off to school...i usually have at least one request to plvl..-_- even when it says i am AFK. /anon really is your friend...except when you Raise someone while walking somewhere or killing something and they see you...then its just...annoyance.Comment

what about /anon with no equipment? Or, /anon with lvl 7 gear in Ghelspa Outpost?
I had on the lvl 7/8 gear (Robes and shyte) and i was farming. Some RDM lvl 9 got confused cause he saw me use Diaga, Regen, Blaze Spikes and Blink. Then he said I was a cheater and was gonna call a GM if I didnt PL him.
