Lower Lvl Melee Weapons

Tonight was a boring night so I ended up traveling around Vana'diel helping people with subjob items and then just fighting monsters.

I spend 8K on a Royal Squire's Mace, I bought it because it's stats were better than the highest lvl equipable hammer I could find in bastok's AH.

How is this weapon in terms of melee @ lvl30 for a WHM? Also if I'm PLing ppl I know I need to at least be able to solo whatever they're fighting without depending on magic, so what other weapons would I buy?

Also, my Seraph Strike @ 300TP did 8 more damage than a DRK 2 lvl higher's Shadow of Death at 300% TP with the Royal Squires Mace (where as he had Mercenary Cpt. Scythe) Sorry for rambling, is 4am here.

Wow if you play at 4 in the morning you must be a hardcore player. All i know is my parents would kill me. haha. sorry, i don't know the answer 2ur question. c-ya around

Maces and Mauls are always the best melee weapons for a WHM. right now i have an Arcana Maul. without looking at other options i believe you can't really go wrong with a mace.

I'm not that hardcore, my sleep cycle has been really screwed up. I wake up at like 12-3pm, do my normla daily stuff, play ffxi before falling asleep (In my case playing till 4am) then I'll watch a dvd and try to fall asleep around 6am.


Anyway, would Royal Squire's Mace be my best weapon at lvl 30? I just finished Bard quest so I have 10k gil on hand. I won't be EXPing for a while.
