^_^ Cure IV vs Cure V for hate

oddly enough Cure IV does create more hate than cure V.


Tested with RDM+WHM both doing capped amount, both naked of eq.

Mob turned to rdm and took stoneskin off before our paladin took it back again. ( pld was on 200hp, engaged enemy, hit once, then Cure V and cure IV were dumped on the pld.


the only reasoning I can think of is as

A) a reward for high level whms
B) to keep cure IV as a hate tool for paladins.

And yes, it's a reward, geared esp vs those hnm fights. And with a bit of afterthought for plds to use it as a hate tool.

If you read my reply I acknowledged he was correct.

When he stated it in the first place he offered no evidence and didn't state he had tested it, he recommended I did so.


I did, he was correct. I came and confirmed it because I'd tested it.

I posted this simply to let everyone else know who was interested that I had tested it and what result occured.

I knew that Cure IV brought more hate, due to own experiments, but the easiest way for gryff to learn it instead of just saying it did or saying this time or that time I did this and that, he should try it for himself.

This way, he'll see it firsthand. He did, and now he's openly admitting he was wrong, and that he now learned something new. Perfect example of manners, and how to be moderatly humble.

On the other hand, trying to rub into peoples faces whether they did wrong or not, now that's kind of low, don't you think?

Now, you can argue about semantics and how gryff almost seemed to say that I proved nothing, and he did it all by himself, but we know Gryff is a bigger man than this, right?

Stay on topic, do not attack people needlessly, and don't bully. There's simply no need. Now retorting, that's a different matter...

Was this offtopic? Hmmm, wait. Yeah, ok, I suggest using multiple cureIII instead of cureIV, unless emergency arises. This way you save yourself from a bit of unwanted attention from the nasty uglies. ^^ (yay, I'm on topic again!)

harder to test. in general, seems to be that per cast, cure v is a bit more hate. however, if you cure iii for the same amount that cure v wouldve cured, you get more hate. basically..you want to use cure v whenever possible.
