Does anyone know where this comes form? A nm drop, synthing recipe? I would love to buy one of these when I'm 68 but there are never any in AH

Yes, shining cloth is dropped from Kirin.
The reason you won't see it on the AH is most people only craft them for friends, putting them on the AH isn't profitable in any aspect. Your best bet is to kill kirin and find someone to craft

I plan on getting the Aristocrat's Mitts/Slacks/pumps, then I'm going to try and get the HQ Vermillion's Cloak (Royal Cloak) Since it only costs 10,000,000 as opposed to the 12,000,000+ for the REGULAR WHM JSE.Rodin - Ragnarok Server (Out of Retirement)

don't ever plan on getting any of the aristocrat gear. You can only really pray. Noble gear you can plan on getting, but even the pumps/mittens/etc. aren't exactly easy to get

Well - I'd say don't plan on BUYING the aristocrat's gear ever. ^^ On my server, Noble's Tunic has sold a total of, uhm, 1 time, and the Aristocrat's Tunic twice. Ever.
Funnily, Aristrocrat's last sale was 6mil, while Noble's Tunic sold for 15mil.BRD75/WHM75/BLM75/RDM75/SMN70/NIN67/MNK33/WAR33/THF15/etc

It was probably a fake sale, i.e. it actually went to someone that person knew and they did it through the AH to show it off. Shining cloth is so extremely rare that it almost always stays within the LS that got it.Comment
