I mean... it isn't that bad. But it is pretty hard. My first character was a warrior. I worked that up to level 12 and decided it was very boring and i didn't want to be doing that. White mage looked like fun. Easy to find parties too. So I made a new character. Now I really want to get to level 10 just to get this soloing thing out of the way. It's terrible. I don't know how much more I can stand. Haha. Are there any tips, or is the only thing I can do is fight easy stuff and grin and bear it until I'm high enough to where there are parties available. Because let's face it, how many lvl 4 parties do you see. Anyway... also is there a store that sells equipment and scrolls for mages? Because there is no armor or any clothing or anything that I'm allowed to wear. It's quite bothersome.

WHM is actually quite easy to level. Grab a partner of any job that can deal damage and duo through the beginning levels.
Since at that level, most classes can deal decent damage, so it's very easy to find 1 single partner to go with you.Junior Member?

If you don't party, then keep solo'ing the real easy stuff. Do not go into deep parts of whereever you level. Just stick to the stuff that con'd decent challenge at lvl 5 but are now easy preys that give crap exp. Don't try to kill DCs after lvl 7-8...you will most likely get owned.World: Ragnarok

I made it through the leveling all by myself and I even went a bit into leveling to level 11 by myself..
What I did was I tried moving out of bastok towards the light house... Fighting wasps then gobs up close there...
Soon enough in no time I was in the Highlands and all the way to the dunes and at Lvl 11 I'm creating parties that are getting like 200 exp/kill most of the time.
Believe me.. leveling to 10 isn't that bad, and it's wayyy easdy to level after that..
I recommend that you go to the auction house and make sure you have banish and protectra and paralyze and dia and poisona and if you have enough buy cure II and a tunic and leave them at your mog house until you decide to go to the dunes... then before you go to the dunes pick them up because you can use them at lvl 11.
The AH is the best for checking spells
Especially in Bastok, theres not alot to get there...
Oh yeah and if you can.. Try building up alot of money and buying belts and rings and such that increase mind power for you.. since you're whm
