Good whm's make it seem like you don't need them, because you never really notice big health dips, you never need to wait because the healer went OOM using inefficient cures, they free up mp by using blinkga/flash/regen...but when you actually try to level without them, you start noticing just how much you miss having a dedicated healer.

I totally agree. WHMs are unappreciated for this exact reason. No one notices you healing, until they get too bold and try to go beyond your mana limit. Sadly, I'm so entirely used to that, that I typically spend 10k-30k on pies each level, Yagudo drinks and Pineapple Juice, so they never notice. Not a recommended strategy btw. I'm hurting for cash, but I hate downtime. (/duck Ranger and Ninja, I know you spend more!)

Very true... except I didn't expect to get slaughtered in a pretty much aggro-free area when I wasn't even EXPing. The only things in Crawler's Nest that aggro me are Wespes, Knight Crawlers and Crawler Hunters, and all of those were far far away. Or so I thought. :\

I'm gonna go paranoid and just put reraise on whenever I join a party of some kind from now on. ._.

Be that as it may, if it had been me, I'd have home pointed and then disbanded. There's no excuse for training stuff onto a group trying to help you get something done. Yes, I know they are your set party. That doesn't magically make them idiot-proof.
