Charging for Raise

if you ask me to take time from what im doing.. well im busy.. mention some pay and i mite change my mind..but theres no guarentee

WHen I was leveling my lvl 14 Brd in Shakhrami Maze, I paid a whm 5000 gils to raise our warrior because she will not raise for anything less than 5000. After the raise, I blacklisted her.

As others have mentioned, charging for raise is bad karma. It'll come back to haunt you at some point or another.

If people want to give a donation, that is cool. But, that is up to them.

Raise Cost

I wish people paid 1k per raise, that would be great. As a Elvaan white mage I am extremely poor. There should be a set price, like teleports, because people generally do not tend to give out gil free of will.

So when I tell you tips acepted, a little something would be nice or dont expect me to come back to help you

Why on earth do people ask for Raises in the Maze of Shakrami? This is the most amazingly asinine thing to do. Raise restores less than 100 xp before level 20 if I recall. You get more than that in ONE kill. Just home point and run back. If the guards in Sarutabaruta or Aragoneu are present, it takes about 5 minutes to get back, which is the time you'd spend Weakened anyway.

I've gotten to the point where I flat out refuse to Raise people in the Maze unless I am right on top of them. Complete waste of time all around.

More commonly Jeuno, and they paid for teleport-mea to get to the maze (which is a bad leveling spot for most parties anyway, worms are only good for parties with lots of blm and rng and goblins are practically never a good leveling mob because of their bombs). But Bastok is funnier :p

if you do charge for a raise make it like 50 gil so its something everybody can afford and not complain about

If you absolutely *have* to charge for raises (I dunno, to compensate for your lack of penile skill?), make an exception for anyone else capable of raises, since you don't ever know when they'll be the nearest person to raise you.

If a party's just having lousy luck post-50, though, and keeps dying, and they didn't bother bringing a WHM (...), I'd be like "Well... I can give you a regular Raise for free, and bring you all back, or I can give you all Raise II for, say, 500 gil apiece.", and then, if *any* of them was willing to pay for Raise II, give all of them Raise II/III (plus, if possible, Reraise II/III), and then be like "Okay... now, if you die again, it's your own damn fault for not bringing sufficient healing. I'm not gonna babysit you the rest of the time I'm here."

...then again, that sounds even more asinine than just straight-out charging for raises in general. :spin:

I normally don't charge for any raising at all, but if the person offered money.. hey, why the hell not. D:

The only times I feel the urge to charge is when they /tell you out of nowhere even if you're anon, and bug the hell out of you for a raise (despite you being busy) and can't even provide the description of the area when you can't find them in the provided coordinate or when you're lacking a map. Or, parties that feel "YOU DON'T NEED TEH WHM". (´・ω・｀)

Heh, if I tell someone I can't raise them once, that's it. "Bugging the hell out of me" will only get them blacklisted.

As for parties who don't think they need a whm, well, obviously they don't need me... :angel:

I say charge the hell outta them. I over paid for my raise 3 and I plan to make it up by charging those assholes for jacking up the prices to it. I'm not sure if it's true with everyone else but I feel that white mages are one of the most expensive jobs to level, whether it be spells or armor or staffs that you have to buy (earth, light, dark, I have two out of the three). I know I can make money faster by doing other things but that's just damn ridiculous that I had to over pay for Raise 3. I mean DAMN I don't even get the benefit of using it! It's for OTHER people!

Of course I won't end up charging my LS for raise 3, becuase their just as poor as I am. I need to whip their asses in gear to start doing more BCNM's.
